"Modern stop over right in the centre..."
Part of the Best Western network, the hotel de la paix is modern and perfectly located in the city centre (at a walking distance from pedestrian centre, opera, museums and cathedral and millions of restaurants), but easily accessible by car and offering an underground private parking although not build for large cars (14 € night)… It directly connects to the restaurant brasserie of the same name (“Café de la paix”). It offers a large evening bar and inner garden for summer time. Our room was fairly spacious, the bathroom with separate shower corner and bath tub, separate toilet. A traditional breakfast buffet with a sufficient variety of products. Unfortunately and contrary to the ‘Accor” network (Novotel, Mercure, Ibis, etc..), the hotel does not offer the “check in, check out on line” service which is pretty convenient for businessmen or when a bunch of Chinese tourists are queuing at the counter desk . But it is perfectly suitable for visitors spending a week-end only 30 minutes from the “champagne trail”…
"Excellent Location and Friendly staff"
This hotel is right in the middle of Reims making it ideal from the train station and all the nearby restaurants and shops. Our room was noisy as we could hear the lift cables going up and down. The breakfast that is included is average, but we ended up adding our own items to the limited offerings. However the front desk staff go out of their way to assist with bookings and plans
Easy to find off the motorway with underground parking, but you need to book Modern hotel with good service at a very reasonable price. Book early and the price just gets better Close to all the main attractions. Short walk to the cathedral and main bars and restaraunts. You can even walk to some of the champagne houses for their tours Simple rooms but all very clean with coffee making and fridge in the rooms
Comfortable modern hotel with spacious rooms, quiet yet barely two minutes walk from the lively town centre with its outdoor restaurants and shops. Walking distance from the station, across the park, also from the cathedral and other attractions. Did not dine in the hotel but buffet breakfast was excellent, with tea/coffee promptly served by friendly staff.
A very nice, modern hotel well located in the city centre. It has a nice champagne bar and a restaurant with what looked like an excellent menu, though we chose to eat elsewhere. This was an overnight stop on the way to the Alps and was a good choice. The only downside was the noise from outside at night. Although we were on the 7th floor we were woken by yelling revellers in the wee hours (and it was only a Thursday). If we returned we would request a room at the back overlooking the courtyard.
