"4 night stay in March (Diamond status)"
I stayed here for 4 nights in March 2017 for about $102/night. Was upgraded from a basic room to a comfort room for being Diamond status (not really a huge difference, just slightly larger in space). Location: 20 minutes out from the city on tram, with the tram stop literally 100 steps from the front of the hotel. This is the biggest pro for the hotel because it's so expensive to stay in the city. The price drops considerably in this area, but you still get the convenience of easy transportation. Amenities: Loved their rainshower and pressure shower handle. Shower had slight leaking problems, but wasn't a big deal. Lots of space on the tables and chairs to put your stuff. Bed was fine, but the sheets are what's stopping this hotel from being a 5 star. They cheaped out on the sheets, and you can tell because they're scratchy and just not that comfortable. I still had good sleep, but it could've been better. I would definitely recommend this hotel for the price I paid. Hostels in the city were going for $50-60 a night, and I got to stay in a hotel for around the same since I was splitting it with my SO. This hotel is perfect for someone who leaves early in the morning and just wants a private space to come back to and have good sleep, but not for someone who wants to spend a lot of time in the hotel. Don't expect anything luxurious, but it serves its basic purpose.
Staying right in the city of Amsterdam can be pretty costly, this hotel right outside of the city center is a great option. It is a 20 minute walk from Lelylaan station and Tram 2 is right outside the hotel. Lelylaan station is the first stop from the airport and a hint for those of you who are a bit timid about finding your way. I got on Google Earth and "walked" from the station to the hotel. That way when I arrived everything was familiar and despite the jet lag it was extremely easy to find my way. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable and quiet. We ate at the restaurant twice, once for breakfast (12.50 euros) and once for dinner. Both meals were excellent. As others have mentioned, the restaurant does not serve alcohol, but they were happy to decant a bottle of wine for us. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Day tickets for the Tram can be purchased at the front desk although if you are going to be in Amsterdam for a few days and plan on visiting many of the museums I found the IAMSTERDAM card well worth it. Amsterdam is a great city and this hotel made my stay much more enjoyable. Thank you Best Western.
I loved this hotel. It was easily accessible with the tram right outside the door. It was very clean, the staff was very friendly, helpful and accomodating. The food in the restaurant was superb. The waitress couldn't hace been better. If i am ever in Amsterdam again, I will certainly stay there again.
"Great one night stay!"
Love this hotel! Great room, clean, perfect beds, nice spacy bathroom. We had a corner room on the 5th floor. Breakfast good. Private parking. It's ideal that tram 2 stops nearly in front of hotel and takes you to the city centre in like 15 minutes. It passes the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh and Sedelijk museum and stops at Central Station. Kind and helpfull staff. We will definitely come back to Amsterdam and to Hotel Couture. Keep up the good work Hotel Couture!
