"Once again, The Beverly Wilshire provided an impressive stay."
I stay at the BW every six months for business purposes, and I'm always impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the entire staff; this visit was no different. The rooms are always very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend the Beverly Wilshire.
"Iconic property in a great location, but not what I expected in a Four Seasons."
My expectations for this stay were unfortunately not met by the service provided at this property. Having stayed at Four Seasons across the country, I was expecting a friendlier staff and more updated rooms/accommodations. Specifically, the room I was given was close to some sort of large service room near the elevator on the 7th floor and made noise all night. Also, I had requested a late checkout (from noon until 2), which I confirmed with the front desk twice. On my day of checkout, my keys were deactivated after 12pm, so I was unable to access my room until security came to let me in and shortly thereafter a hotel staff member came to my room, and quite rudely asked what I was still doing in the room. It was quite a nuisance to have to deal with the feeling as though I was no longer welcome in my room even though I had confirmed a late checkout. Expecting a better quality of customer service at a FS property.
"A very nice hotel"
Excellent service, excellent room and a great location. As with all hotels of this level standards are high and it is all you would expect although, location apart, it is nothing special. Didn't really like the lobby shopping arcade that seemed to encourage gawkers and tourists, quite out of keeping with an hotel of this level. In fact the public access to the hotel and some of the bars was quite disconcerting,
"Quality establishment in great location."
My wife and I stayed recently for one night. Staff were very impressive throughout and we were delighted to be upgraded to a suite with great views .my wife had a treatment in the spa which she is still talking about! Overall, well worth the money.
"Cool because its iconic, but not blown away"
Its definitely a nice place. You expect that for a four seasons. However, other than the fancy lobby and upscale stores for shopping, I didn't feel like I was blown away. I did ask for a refrigerator because we were traveling with a baby and then the front desk offered to send up a tea kettle too to warm up the bottles. It never came, even after my mom asked a second time. We made do by running the hot water in the sink. The hotel was very busy and it took over 15 minutes for them to fetch the car from valet. (parking is $48/night). The room was clean and the beds comfy, but the layout isn't any different than a hampton inn. Its a typical hotel room. We stayed in a standard room. I'm sure the suites are much nicer. But all in all, its cool because its iconic and has an absolutely fantastic location, but did the service blow me away. No. Other places I've stayed have had full coffee and tea selections in the room, complimentary with water. there would also be a vanity set. . .but not here. No tooth brush, or sewing kit or shoe polish kit, no cotton balls or ear cleaners. . .not that I need that. . .but its those little things that I usually expect from the 5 star hotels. . .maybe I'm dated. But again, its a nice place and very comfy, but not over the top luxury that you would expect for the price
