Great location, and great welcome, but I have to say that the "single room" I was staying in felt more like a reorganised closet than an actual bedroom, small, cramped, and massively overheated. I also had the misfortune of being woken at 2am by a screaming and cackling crowd which I might have expected in some of the morecentrl locations, but not on a quiet sidestreet near the museum quarter. Probably just bad luck at my end, and hard to take issue with hotel for that. I daresay other rooms were much more pleasant.
"Great hotel, very good location"
Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 4 nights and were very pleased with our whole stay, we had no issues at all. The only very minor thing I'd point out was the shower was a little poor in performance and was mounted far too down for me to shower under it so just held it in the end. The room was very clean, mounted TV, good black out curtains, comfortable bed and nice pillows. We also had tea / coffee making facilities. There were works right outside the hotel but we didn't hear anything in the morning. The room was cleaned every day and towels changed as needed. The staff were friendly and courteous and we would definitely return again. The hotel is really well placed, near two major museums along with many many shops, cafes, restaurants and bust / tram stops. If you are flying to Amsterdam, you can get two 1 hour train tickets for just over 10 euros. This is what we did and rode the train to the central station (near the main Dam square). From there we got two tram tickets for around 5 euros and took the tram from the central station to the Rijksmuseum stop almost right outside our hotel, easy!
"Very nice place to stay and well located"
Arrived before check in time but they had my room ready and available. Everyone I dealt with from front desk staff to breakfast waiters were very nice and attentive, The room was a single but very comfortable. If your in Amsterdam for the museums it is perfectly located less than a five minute walk from the big three, Rijksmuseum, Stedelik, and Van Gogh. Also walking distance to the Canal Ring area. Would definitely use this hotel again.
"At the centre of Amsterdam"
This hotel is at walking distance from museums, concert hall and the smart shops of Amsterdam. In a pretty tree-lined street the hotel slightly tired, our room was a little smaller than usual and the en-suite needed a little up-dating but my wife and I enjoyed our four nights there and were able to walk to most places we wished to visit. It was our first visit to Amsterdam and we found the staff very pleasant and helpful, recommended for sightseers, we'd probably book there again.
"My "home" in Amsterdam"
I have stayed 20 years at Bilderberg Jan Leyken Hotel, and I plan to come back next year. Good location in a quite and nice area near to museums and shopping. Good and clean rooms, very good breakfast and a small cozy bar.
