"great for business & pleasure"
Excellent location only a short taxi ride from the trains station and within close proximity to the main shopping district downtown Rotterdam. Service was impeccable from check-in to check-out, the room was beautifully appointed with very comfortable bedding and a large bathroom. Breakfast service was remarkable in terms of quality and abundance of bread, preserves, dairy, protein and coffee choices. At night the restaurant full dinner service was also quite amazing in their offering of a true gastronomic experience that replicates some standout dishes from well-know and award winning chefs from recent years. Again, dinning room service was impeccable, friendly and non-intrusive. Would definitely recommend this hotel as it looks and feels much more luxurious than they care to advertise (luxury defined as attention to detail, great food, privacy, comfort, great service, no hidden fees, relaxation, etc)
"A hotel to recommend!"
We stayed in this hotel already many times. Almost every time we stay in Rotterdam, we choose the Bilderberg Parkhotel. It is very well located, just in front of the Eendrachtsweg Gracht. The breakfast is very good! Fresh bread from the Vlaamsch Brodhuys :) As we always travel with our little dog Cookie, we always have to stay in their standard double rooms, the only rooms where pet are allowed. As for the standard double rooms, they aren't that great and to expensive for what you get, because the rooms need renovation. The good thing about the rooms is that some of the rooms have a balcony. But the last 2 times we stayed here, we've got the oldest rooms of the standard rooms, the badest rooms of the whole hotel, because of our dog. We asked for a room with balcony, and were told that they are already booked out, which wasn't obviously true the last 2 times! This is in our opinion a real shame, as we are afterall good costumers of the Bilderberg Hotel and our dog has never damaged something in the hotel. (We have a very well educated little dog). That's also why we stayed almost a whole year not in this hotel. If we were sure to get a good standard room when we book, we would surely stay again at the hotel! For people who travel without a pet, they can be sure to get a good room, with a good price-quality ratio.
"very good hotel in good Location"
Very high class Hotel in good Location. just 10 minutes walk from the station and 10 minutes walk to centre of Rotterdam were are all the shops and restaurants. The Metro just also stops close to the hotel. Good breakfast Good Rooms and Bathrooms and Good shower. Also I thought the Bararea was very cozy to have a glass of wine or gin Tonic or just a tea or coffee
"O.k. but a bit pricy for such hotel"
Everything was ok.except the temperature in the rooms. It was cold outside in November. But heatig system did not work in proper way. Ir was too cold in Bathroom and very fresh in the room. The same situation was in my collegue's room, on a different floor. We asked stuff to help us, but they could do anything. Stuff on reception was friendly. The choice of the food on Breakfast was limited..
"Average at best"
I'll keep it short and sweet. 1) If only they put the effort of designing and quality of their lobby into their rooms. Seriously. 2) Toilet had a weird stench, bathtub was DIRTY (photo attached) 3) Hotels are part of hospitality and tourism, we didn't feel any hospitality from the staff, although they managed to complete the necessary check in and out procedures without much hassle, with 1 exception: Upon checking in, we headed to the room and guess what, it was an invalid card and it couldn't open the door. I went back to the counter and told the staff, the first thing she said was "you changed room right'". Literally like it was my fault that the room door couldn't open. 4) We asked for extra blankets because the heater seemed non-existent. The lady over the phone told me she'd call me back, the call never came, same as my blanket... All in all, I think I was more courteous than the staff at Bilderberg Park Hotel. I guess this was normal at a budget hotel, but when I checked, NO. They were a 4 star hotel. The only thing worthy of praise was the location, next to the Metro and accessibility to Rotterdam Central and Blaak was 1-2 stops away. I would not require any reply from the Management as I would not go back to this hotel again. Thanks. For verification as requested on the other reviews, our reservation was on Wednesday, 28 December 2016.
