Located in the closest neighbourhood of the ancient Roman road Aurelia, the Black hotel is only a few kilometres away from the Vatican City and 10 min by car from a golf course.
The hotel enjoys an easy access to the sea and the city.
"The worst staff!!!"
Hot breakfast consists of scrambled egg and bacon. Everything else is cold. The staff are so rude and to be honest the only time the lady at reception smiled was when we left. The room was big but the bed was rock hard. Bathroom was good and clean. The pool was closed and the bar selection was crap. Evening meal.....don't bother trust me. There is a hotel shuttle which will take you to the nearest metro stop but remember when you return its a 45min walk back to hotel. If you take the bus it stops on a dual carriage way and you have to walk on the hard shoulder up a slip road to get back to the hotel. I will not be going back.
The staff are very rude franko the bar tander was the best very helpful breakfast was ok night meal was horrible we booked a taxi to anzo and we couldn't go because my father inlaw was sickthey charged me 50 euros or they were going to call the police
"Lovely hotel and staff but advertised to be better!"
I stayed here last week with my boyfriend for 4 nights, the staff are lovely friendly and extremely helpful! The hotel has a nice black theme but the rooms were bright and spacious, and super clean! Theres also a free shuttle to the nearest metro every morning which was really helpful. However I was disappointed that when booking I didn't notice any information on the swimming pool being closed. I have recently looked to see that it is written write at the bottom of the booking.com page (not the hotels fault) but more information would've been appreciated. The gym is nice, however the sauna was not switched on and there were no details on how to use it. The double bed is two single mattresses pushed together which was rather uncomfortable as I kept falling into the middle every night. The hotel is a 40 minute walk from the station so bare this in mind when returning to the hotel! The breakfast we paid for was advertised as 'full breakfast' including a hot meal, however this was just a selection of bacon or scrambled egg. Bathroom is lovely, very clean and bright. The roof top bar is not as it seems, the view was just a giant hedge all round and below is a ramp to a car park! The hotel is close to a supermarket which is useful, theres a lovely restaurant and macdonalds close and theres a pizza restaurant on the campsite opposite. Overall the hotel is good, just a little bit far out of the city, the staff are lovely was just disappointed with the facilities!
Stayed here as part of a group on a short weekend break in Rome. Firstly the Hotel is a great base for a trip to Rome, there is a supermarket and a McDonald's down the road (about a 15 min walk). The Hotel provides a free shuttle bus to the Metro station in the morning , although we used Uber which took us straight to Vatican city for just €24.00. This hotel was different and unusual to any other hotel I've been but not in a bad way. The decor is literally all black in the lobby and restaurant but the rooms are a bit brighter, the hotel is very clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are really good, nice selection for buffet. All in all Black Hotel is good, great base and I would stay there again. Loved ROMA!
"Getaway to Rome "
The stay was ok I wouldn't class it as a 4* star hotel. The room was ok shame we had to keep pushing the two single mattresses together to make it a double bed. Breakfast was ok but overall everything was average. People in Rome Drive crazy!! So be careful on the road they seem to buzz about
