We stayed here by accident last Saturday's! We needed to be in Plymouth with our dogs, and because the town centre hotels were busy because of the half marathon, we ended up here. And we're very glad we did. The main building is wonderful and full of character, we stayed in the courtyard in a huge family room that was spotless, and there were dog baskets and bowls provided. Special mention has to go to the bar manager. There was a wedding and the manager had to deal with a large number of guests all wanting cocktails, he remained cool, calm and extremely polite - impressive. We are now trying to organise a longer 'planned' trip to take full advantage of this gorgeous place. But it has to be said that the main strength of this hotel is their wonderful, friendly staff, who could not have been more helpful.
"Relaxation at its best "
StAyed here for the Sunday sublime. A night away spa break. Was very very relaxing the spa is the best spa I have visited. The hotel itself is a beautiful manor. Mansion. I can understand why it's 5* can't wait to come again.
I booked this hotel for me and partner for a night away , staff all very friendly and very polite, spa area has a lovely calm feeling , changing rooms are spotless , dinner was beautiful... we will be booking again soon If I had to say something bad about this hotel it would be that the restaurant could do with updating but I do believe that was there next thing to do . We also had a slight problem with noisy neighbours (sexy time noisy) 😬but that wasn't the hotels fault.
Had our daughter's wedding there last Friday. Wonderful setting. Staff were amazing especially the Restaurant Manager who couldn't do enough for us. Food was good although I was disappointed with the quantity of canapés that were available after the wedding ceremony considering their cost. We stayed overnight and the breakfast in the morning was excellent. It is expensive but well worth it for a special occasion.
Boringdon Hall Hotel is full of history a charming get away , staff in the hotel are extremely helpful. Rooms are pleasant and clean, there is a fancy coffee machine in the room but it's not very good if you just want tea a kettle would be better. There was thing that concerned us being on the ground floor was that the cleaner kept leaving the windows open so anybody could have accessed the room. The spa is fantastic but let down by the staff who just asumed you knew where to go and what to do, also lack of towels was an issue. There are two places to eat one of them being fine dining, you can also eat in the main hall if you fancy having food on your lap. There was a nice touch of water and macaroons when we left. Would we go back again yes, it's not quite 5* but it's getting there.
