"Amazing spa experience"
My spa day was a birthday treat and my first visit to Gaia. Everything was amazing - the facilities far beyond expectations. The pools and saunas were luxurious and the outdoor jacuzzi a great place to unwind even in December. The changing areas were spacious and spotless. The spatisserie had a grazing menu of tapas style dishes as well as a lunch menu, both with a wide range of choices. The food was excellent and well presented. All the staff from reception, masseurs and waiting staff were very friendly and efficient. Overall an amazing experience and highly recommended.

My credit card has now been credited with the full outstanding balance. Hopefully the whole mini-bar experience was an anomaly. The hotel is excellent, occasionally things go wrong but you then wish to get them resolved expediently.
"Excellent service and accommodation, but dont use the mini-bar"
A fantastic room (four poster in the original part of this beautiful manor house), great spa facilities, a nice cup of tea brought to the room in the morning, and a lovely breakfast combined to make this a very enjoyable stay. The spa and gym is well equipped, as you would expect from a multi-million pound investment over a few years. The welcome from all the staff was as good as ever, and the reception team were extremely helpful in organising taxis to and from a restaurant in the Barbican. Breakfast was what you would expect to receive from a hotel like the Boringdon – better than on previous stays so it appears that comments in the past have been taken to heart. Everything was extremely positive, and upon returning home I sent an email commending the hotel on its hospitality and performance. Unfortunately this pleasurable experience was marred by two charges on my credit card for drinks that were apparently taken from the mini-bar in the bedroom. On challenging this I was told that I had been incorrectly charged for a £24 bottle of champagne, which was credited to my card, but I have still been charged £8 for two cans of drinks that I did not consume. Despite two emails and three telephone calls (including one when I was promised an immediate refund), I am still out of pocket.
"Laid back luxiry"
We booked it for the spa and were absolutely amazed at the five star luxury experience. Looks and feels like a historic castle with an incredible contemporary spa recently built discreetly into the hillside at the back. But it's the staff that make it. They couldn't be more eager to please. It may be an old castle but its certainly not stuffy and we were encouraged to relax in our bathrobes in the bar to have dinner when the spa restaurant was closed. Try the exquisite cosmopolitans! Food is wonderful and the spa is one of the best I've been too. Inside/outside jacuzzi, various steam rooms and saunas and pool big enough to swim properly in. One of my favourite moments was floating in the outside jacuzzi at night while a cat sat and watched! At the time we went it was great value and would certainly go back.
Went here with my two children and my mother. We had the most amazing stay for two nights. We were so happy with our stay here, the spa was incredible with a state of the art gym. The staff could not have been more lovely and helpful. The food was fantastic and the chef adapted the menue for my daughter with different food allergies so she did not miss out! Would 100% recommend this hotel and spa break to anyone, amazing value, we could not have enjoyed ourself (or felt more relaxed and Welcome) more.
