Sehr schönes Hotel, gut gelegen mit freundlichem Personal, jedoch hellhörig und Spa muss von 5-8 zusätzlich bezahlt warden.Comment of K. Josef , Switzerland the 2015-04-23

"Weekend away "
Unfortunately average!! Looks the part from the outside and reception, but the rooms are small and 3star at best, they are clean and smart!! The pool area is nice although there was a problem with the pool so was only open in the afternoon/evenings we enjoyed a massage which was of good standard albeit a bit pricey @92 euros!! The breakfast food was good, service was quite poor. We also felt on all three mornings that we were put around the side in a dark corner out of the way when there were plenty of lovely central tables... maybe these were reserved for the more luxurious suites but it very much felt as though they were not for us! I would stay here again but I was very much expecting 5* luxury and it was not.
A friend and I stayed here for one night in part because the hotel is just so beautiful. A former bank, the main floor has the high ceilings of days gone by. Even the guest room hallways have polished floors that just gives the place a classy look. We requested a twin room but were upgraded to a Junior Suite. It's amusing/frustrating to me that hotels everywhere (not just this one) always have suites furnished with a single king instead of having some suites furnished with two beds. In our case there were twin mattresses, made up as separate beds, on top of the king box spring. So it was a little odd-looking but it worked for us. It would also have been helpful to have more electrical outlets near the bed as there wasn't anywhere to plug in our phones except on the desk (which had a number of conveniently-located outlets). The suite had an entry area with a chest as well as a built-in wardrobe with drawers. Two robes and slippers were furnished as well. A mini-fridge full of different kinds of beverages was hidden behind a lower door while the safe was concealed behind an upper door. A coffee machine was set on the shelf in between. Past the entry area was the sitting room that contained a love seat, coffee table, two chairs and the desk. At a 90-degree angle from that was the bedroom. The bathroom had double sinks, which is great, and the tub shower had the half-glass partition so common in Europe, which is not-so-great as the bath mat and anything outside the tub at that end tends to get wet from shower spray. The toilet and bidet were tucked away behind a pocket door across from the sinks. The staff members I encountered were all terrific. As we had transferred from another hotel, we arrived far too early for our room to be ready but they stored our luggage for us as we explored Prague for one last day. Check in and check out were both very efficient and my status was recognized appropriately. I wished we'd had more time to enjoy the breakfast buffet the following morning but we had to be at the train station rather early so we ate rather quickly. Fortunately this hotel is very conveniently located less than a block away from the train station, though there is a bit of a hill so beware if you're carrying (rather than rolling) luggage. This hotel is also reasonably convenient to Old Town and all the tourist sites. We would love to stay here again if we ever make it back to Prague.
"Fantastic breakfast, excellent service and an alltogether great hotel"
This is really 5 stars. Everything was as it should be in a quality hotel. Special thanks to excellent breakfast. There was something for everyone and all very good quality. Not just your typical buns and omelettes. the location was great - close enough to old tiwn but far enough to be quiet. If I need to point out something to improve it would be the room temperature which was too hot, making it hard to sleep.
"Feel like Royalty "
There is an edge of faded glamour to this place, but it is top quality. Gorgeous suite with history and luxury. High ceilings and art work that inspires if you're an artist. Breakfast is an experience that could go on for hours and ruin your appetite for the rest of the day. Location is is excellent and walkable to all the main attractions with a street car passing right nearby. Prague is a city of history, good food, beautiful people and it is affordable. We will be returning.
Excellent service. Provided lots of local advise - places to eat and directions to various places. Very clean. Bountiful breakfast selection. Very accommodating. Usual hotel hairdryer so bring your own if you hav more than six hairs! Very well located- old town 15 minute stroll.
