"Good hotel for Budapest"
The apartments are very spacey. The hotel seems to be fairly modern and everything is good. A warm welcome greeting by the receptionist kicked-off the stay. The room clean and nice. Breakfast was good too. To things to remark, I had the room towards the street and one could hear the heavy traffic especially in the morning.
"Very good rooms"
Very big rooms. Bit far from city center but close to many bars from jewish area. The spa is very nice. The price is very economic for such rooms. One appartment is for 4 people. Many places around for breakfast. We didn't took breakfast in hotel.
I really enjoyed my first stay Pest, very much helped by a very comfortable and clean apartment. Staff were polite, and more than happy to help with city/hotel queries. I didn't make as much use of the facilities as I should have done, but from other guests comments they were all very good.
Started looking into places to stay back in March for our September trip to Vienna and Budapest. Our Budapest leg of the trip included 6 adults and 2 young children. I put a hold on 4 three bedroom apartments but always leaned towards this one...the most expensive. What a mistake choosing the place. A few days before we left I cancelled the other three places deciding on this place. We arrived at 1pm in a clean, sleek, modern lobby and two helpful young ladies as the front desk. Our room would not be ready for a few hours so we decided to have lunch at The New York Cafe right around the corner. Overpriced at $100 lunch for 2 of us but the place is stunning. During lunch I was looking forward to what our Penthouse would offer. It went down hill once we were give the key cards for the room and found one small elevator that can barely hold three people comfortable with luggage. The hallway to out "5 Star Penthouse" was dark, dingy and dirty. At least a 100 foot trail of clumped mud wasn't cleaned up for 2 days. A local told us (cannot confirm) that it was built a condo for sale building but flopped due to the high purchase price. Boscolo took it over including what really is a 5 Star The Boscolo Hotel right next door. While it appears they got everything right with the hotel this residence leaves much to be desired. The apartment itself was white, sterile with a hospital feel (no warmth at all). We did a huge balcony over looking parts of the city but was not used much as many cement tiles were loose...we didn't let the kids out at all for fear of them tripping. Ran out of TP...called the front desk at 7am requesting 6 rolls. She only brought 2 stating house keeping would bring more (they didn't). Called more than once for clean towels as well. However and this is a big however the common area bathroom on the 2nd floor located near the three bedrooms had the only shower with the most filthy tile shower basin (I was actually too grossed out to take a photo) perhaps even with may have been mold...and the most pungent sewerage small. High School showers are cleaner here. Really regret I choose this place as it cost me nearly $1500 for 4 nights. I was leaning towards the Grand Budapest Penthouse just a few blocks away for half the cost. Shame on me. The photos actually make this place look better than in reality
"Beautiful and prestigious and close to everything!"
Amazing and beautiful. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast buffet. The decor is incredible. The residence room we stayed in was spacious clean and perfect for our 8 day stay. Kitchenette was great for cooking quick meals. We were close grocery stores and cafes and a mall and especially the Metro/Tram/Bus lines perfect!
