"Very Good Location and Very American Friendly"
Minutes walk to the giant indoor market, turn the other way and find a comprehensive shopping (pedestrian) zone, and close proximity a variety of hop-on/hop-off bus service. The morning, included, breakfast offers a wide variety buffet spread of hot food, deli sliced meats and cheeses, cereals, and pastries. Not a luxury hotel, but a very good price performer for where it is and what you get.
Just returned from 4 days visit to Budapest staying at the Boutique Hotel. The hotel is quite central to see all the sites only minutes away from the Danube. The rooms are on the small side but were warm clean and cleaned effectively on a daily basis. Breakfast was provided but unfortunately the hot food was never better than look warm. The staff were all very friendly and helpful although one or two seemed unsure how to make hot coffee when ordered from the bar in the evening again look warm. We enjoyed our stay and some small improvements mainly on the catering side and the rating would be very good.
Beautiful hotel, try to avoid smoking rooms. I have been there and had a very good holyday. The staff ia very helpfull and pleasing. Rooms are clean and well equipped. The hotel is sorrounded by many restaurants and stores.
"Definitely not a 4 star hotel "
The first impression of the hotel was not great due to the rude receptionist - Victor. The way he demanded that we pay some deposit before we can enter the room was just no polite. He couldn't explain to us why we have to give him €30 in cash for deposit even though we paid up front and we were never advised about any kind of deposit at all. The room itself was tiny, with a horrible view on a ... wall. The window was just pointless in that place. Didn't look like anything that was advertised on the website. The bed was not comfortable- I developed a rash on my body after sleeping there. Which went away as soon as I retired to England. The electricity was funny... if you opened the draw is a side table the side lamp would start to flicker and if you closed it the light would go off... magic' every time we entered the room the lights wouldn't work for a few mins at all. We wanted to report it at the reception, but victor was the only person at the desk, and he seemed to pretend that we are invisible when we came down. Not even a hello. When the the lights worked it was still so dark that you couldn't see anything properly. The breakfast was included in the price and it was rather poor quality. The vegetarian dishes were kept with meats together. Pancakes tasted like baking soda and were rock hard. The only good things about that hotel was the location- Central Budapest with metro and tram stops outside, and the lovely older man from the restaurant. I would NOT recommend this hotel though. There are many other hotels that are central with better service.
"Fantastic break away"
This hotel is ideally situated in the city. The rooms were modern and very clean. The breakfast was to die for. I'm not usually a fan of hotel brekkie but I started getting up earlier to enjoy what this hotel had to offer. Each night we had drinks in the bar area which was very cosy. I would definitely stay here again
