"Perfect hotel for a city break!"
In December me and my partner stayed here and the hotel was just perfect for our city break! It's location is great, right in the city centre, which means only a few minutes walk to get anywhere or to even hop on the tram to get anywhere which might be slightly to far to walk such as the Castle etc. The hotel itself is great with really friendly staff who are always willing to help (we asked them loads of questions everyday to find out how to get to certain places or to book us a taxi and who ever served us was always very nice and helpful). The hotel and our room was always very clean and the breakfast their was lovely. Overall we had a good experience there and would recommend it to everyone and anyone.
This was a very well situated hotel literally 5 min to the bridge and Danube (although the directions from booking.com sent us the very long way round) but I suppose gave us chance to suss out various places. It was ideal for 1 possible 2 nights stay but I found the room extremely claustrophobic I booked an executive double and it was so small it made me wonder what a double would be like. There was no room to walk around the bed comfortably with Tv at the bottom of the bed it was quite worrying that it could be knocked over if stumbling in dark and the walls were paper thin. Staff were very friendly and helpful everywhere was spotless and clean and breakfast wasn't bad but 5⭐️'s for location and service
"Good location, helpful reception staff"
We stayed here for seven nights over the Christmas period. The hotel is in a good spot, right next to the food hall and liberty bridge. Shops and restaurants are close by, on the main walkway to the Christmas market. The reception staff were friendly, and the hotel is in a good location, but unfortunately this wasn't enough to make me give the hotel a higher rating. The rooms are very small, with very limited storage - large wardrobe, but the rail sticks outward rather than end to end, couldn't work out why. The room was so small that we struggled to put our cases out of the way. If you are a light sleeper this hotel really isn't for you - the walls are very thin, you can hear every single sound, down to next doors alarm clock. Our first room was a city view on the 5th floor - not sure why they call it a city view as the hotel is on a small side street, so your view is of the building across the street. Our neighbours were so noisy that we asked to move on the second night. The staff were very good with this, giving us, what they said would be a quieter room on the first floor, still noisy, including the cleaners who start early. We were bed and breakfast, and the breakfast was limited - boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, French toast (more egg), 3 types of small sausage........ they had cold bacon on an uncovered side plate, which wasn't very tempting. The staff in the dining room weren't particularly friendly or helpful.
"December 2016 Christmas Markets"
We stayed for 3 nights on 4 December 2016. It is centrally located. The hotel was renovated in 2013. It is very modern, staff are extremely friendly. Everyone had English and couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast consisted of everything you would want & more! Rooms were modern with all mod cons, roomy with really nice bathroom. Location-wise: very near the Food Hall, the Baths, 15min walk to the Christmas Markets passing some really nice shops on the way. The Hop On Hop Off bus stop was nearby. €25 Ticket for two days - includes 2 trips on the Danube. We did one during the day & one in the evening. Excellent discounts from Hungarian Restaurants. Taxi to the Airport was around €24, which took approx. 30mins. We had a very pleasant experience staying at this Hotel.
"Really let us down"
We were really excited to spend our holiday at this hotel, since all the reviews were great. We were let down by the breakfast and a few of the staff (not all). Often the staff acted as if they were doing us a favor and constantly rolled their eyes at us. Overall, I will not be recommending this hotel or staying here next time. Positives: 1. Great location 2. Clean and newer rooms (but tiny) Negatives: 1. Pillows are way too large and will leave you with a sore neck. 2. Blankets are very small, hardly enough for an averaged size adult. 3. Breakfast was very poor quality and was constantly out of several dishes per day. Staff rolled their eyes when we asked if it was possible to get items refilled (happened several times) 4. Staff was nice upon check in. Unfortunately the staff at breakfast were very rude and would appear visibly frustrated if we asked simple questions (like if we could get a table). Staff at check out was also very unfriendly and not willing to explain bill or help with booking a train ticket. 5. Rooms were small (but not a big deal)
