"Decent for a few nights only in Paris-ask for higher floor"
I stayed here for only one night. I had been staying at their smaller sister property around the corner and that was incredible, but this is a bigger hotel. The hotel itself is very nice overall. The lobby is my favorite part-see the 2 pics. The breakfast they offer in the morning is terrific. The staff overall was pretty good. The reason I gave it an average is because I love newer hotels and this one feels and is a bit older. The room was spacious but I noticed there was no hot water at night time. I didn't think much of it until the next morning when I tried to use the shower. No hot water and the nozzles to turn on the water got rather stuck. I could not turn them off because they were so old feeling and simply stuck. I called the front desk and they sent this nice woman up to my room. She had to take off the panel to the bathroom sink and was able to "turn on the hot water". Finally, they sent another person to my room and he was able to turn off the running shower. The whole experience was odd for what appeared to be a nice hotel in a nice area. They offered to allow me to shower in another room, but I had to leave for travel within about 30 minutes. The room I had was kind of loud at night. I could hear something almost all night...I think it was the metro line that runs parallel to the hotel. It was not terribly bad, but I guess if you stay here, ask for a higher floor and one NOT near the cleaning closets or the elevator. The shower experience combined with noise at night and the location of the room results in an average for me. Hints-ask for a higher floor if you don't bring your ear plugs with you when you travel to Paris!
Excellent location, very central to sights we wanted to see. Quick access to the Metro, Uber, the staff was VERY polite and accommodating to our requests for reservations and other arrangements. Perfect. Room was very nice for a central Paris hotel.
"Happy in Paris"
I had a lots of appointments in Paris. So I was very busy. The Brighton hotel was a nice place to relax between the different meetings. The stuff was extremely friendly. This was contributing to the nice atmosphere. The lobby was also nice so that I could catch up with people I had to meet.
"A Great Hotel at a reasonable price."
We chose The Brighton on the basis of reviews. The many staff were all extremely polite and friendly. Kavish, the head barman, was charming and very happy to share his extensive knowledge and enthusiasm of wine. The room was kept spotless. This will be our first choice when we go back to Paris.
