"Good location, comfortable and secure"
We stayed 1 night as part of an Insight "Highlights of Europe" tour. Located next to the bourse and historic district, this hotel is ideally located for tourists. Our room (616) was clean, relatively large, well appointed and comfortable but unspectacular. Perfectly fine. We also noted/appreciated the hotels obvious security especially in the lobby and front door areas
"29/11/16 - 01/12/16"
When I originally booked the hotel, I asked that if possible, could we please have a room that faced the Bourse! Well I wasn't disappointed! We had room 424, which was perfectly located and we had a perfect view of the Winter Wonderland, which is partly located there. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The hotel staff were all very friendly and nothing seemed any trouble at all. The executive lounge was a wonderful place to come and unwind after a day of walking around the beautiful city and shopping. The hotel is in a perfect location for seeing the main city and has a metro station at the end of the street (McDonalds end) so you can get everywhere. We can't thank the staff enough and they made our short break absolutely perfect. The hotel has secure underground parking, which is a godsend and it meant we could safely leave things in it, without any worries. When we make a return trip, we WILL be staying at this Marriott hotel again, which we look forward too
Couldnt believe how handy the hotel was located to everything . After arriving at brussels midi , zuid on the eurostar and hopping on to the tram for 3 quick stops to bourse we walked up the exit to be amazed that the hotel was right infront of us . Winter pret was in full swing .. wonderful ... like any marriot the hotel was lovely .. staff helpfull.. planning next trip already
"Great location, but loud construction!"
I typically stay with Marriott and I love their hotels. This one is a great Location, however there is currently very loud construction just outside the hotel. Typically, hotels will warn their guests of this. I honestly would have booked a different location. The construction started at 6:30 am! I know it's not the hotel's fault but they could easily inform their guests. We asked to change rooms but were told there were no other rooms available away from the construction. Regardless, the staff is very nice and the room was nice and it was close to the Christmas markets.
"Look no further"
We have stayed at this hotel the past two summers when visiting Brussels (one visit is NOT enough) and I would highly recommend it. Especially if you've never been to Brussels, it is right in the middle of everything: History, beauty, great restaurants, transportation, etc. When first booked, I was so excited to see how many highly ranked locations were within walking distance. It's about a 50 euro taxi ride from the airport, but once you're there, you definitely don't need a car! Flying from Pittsburgh, it's typically an overnight flight, but the hotel has never had a problem accommodating us early in the morning. Their breakfast is fantastic too, especially loved the croissants with homemade jams and the cured meats and seafood. Brussels has truly become like a home away from home, and this hotel and their helpful staff are a big part of that. #BXLOVE !
