"At the heart of Brussels"
Grand Place has all a business traveler needs - good location, business center, a few snacks at the entrance for executives and a staff that knows your needs. I'm now a regular at this hotel as I visit Brussels frequently. So far, I did not have any negative experiences. The rooms are relatively small for a Marriott but most old buildings in Brussels won't allow much space either. If you're traveling with family and need an extra bed, I suggest to stay at a newer building with more space (for the same price of a small room at Grand Place)
Just enjoyed a 4days break in Brussels's stayed at the Marriott hotel great spot very central close to the train station. The hotel was very nice rooms were spacious and very quiet stayed on the 6th floor food was very good breakfast very good all the staff were very pleasant and efficient bar staff very friendly and a gentleman named Marcos he is the porter in the red coat was excellent a pleasure to meet him at all times if only the could have him at every Marriott hotel I would be glad to revisit the hotel next time I'm in Brussels
"Location, Location, Breakfast"
This is a very good hotel, located in the center of Brussels, minutes away from the Grand Place, the central train station and some art museums. There are a lot of restaurants near-by of all cuisines and budgets. The hotel is very pleasant, fancy in some way. The hallways are warmly styled and well lit. The room (on the fifth floor) was nice and cosy. Although the room wasn't very big, it was good enough for our needs. Good cosmetics, in-room tea/coffee maker and safe box. The staff was efficient, friendly and helpful. I read some reviews saying that they heard street noise, but we did not hear anything from outside. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Very good assortment. You can order eggs in any style you like prepared by a talented cook over the counter.
I was supposed to use my Marriott points to stay at this Hotel but ended up having to pay instead. The staff needs to communicate more between themselves, I was told to reserve and complete with my points at the hotel. That never happened.
Within "spitting" distance from the Grand Place, next to a tram station connecting to the main stations in the very center of the city. Nice clean rooms, very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Nice and friendly bar. Very pleasant and cosy executive lounge. The only negative is that due to the city's restrictions on traffic , taking a taxi to go uptown can be time consuming . If you have to , just walk to the other side of the grand place ( about a 5 min walk ) and you will easily save 15 min driving ( and lower fares )
