"Fabulous Holiday "
We booked quite late and to be honest we weren't even thinking of Tenerife but basically took a chance. The hotel and all the staff were absolutely terrific. Our room was more a suite and the pool area was expansive with lots of sunbeds with complimentary towels. Our package included the buffet dinner which was always impressive and lots of choice. We stayed over New Year and the Hotel held a ball New Year's Eve which was fabulous. I can't praise them enough and from sticking a pin in the map we will certainly be booking again. We were asked if they could improve anything and the only thing we could think of was to have more English TV available. First class and would highly recommend
"Pretty hotel in stunning landscape"
We had a fabulous holiday here. Perfect, if you have hired a car and want to explore and enjoy the spectacular landscape of this part of the island. The roads through the mountains are fun if you are a confident driver but not for the feint-hearted. The hotel is adjacent to a challenging Seve designed golf course which my husband LOVED. We were upgraded to a room in The Level which was really lovely. The hotel looks bland as you approach but once inside, the interior and landscaping is a real pleasure to spend time in. The pool area is delightful with lots of places to tuck yourself away if you want a bit of privacy. All the staff we met were helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was great - the dinner buffet, not so good. Whilst this is not an area for party animals, there are lots of fab restaurants within a 10 - 20 min drive. We liked El Burgado, a restaurant which was walkable (or a 4 minute drive). We drove to Garachico several times for its restaurants. To make the most of this wonderful location you need a hire car and and to do a bit of research about the area. I booked this holiday as a treat for my husband who is a keen golfer and I didn't expect much more from the island, but Tenerife was a revelation. We had no idea it was such a beautiful destination with well signposted hiking trails for a wide range of fitness levels. If you love the great outdoors, just go! Top tip - if you want to climb to the top of the volcano, you have to book a permit up to two months in advance. And book the cable car online (can be done on the day) to avoid horrible queues.
"Nearly there but could improve in a couple of areas hence 4 stars not 5"
Stayed as a couple in September and had a lovely holiday. The positives: We booked "The Level" package and we were glad we did. Our room was big with a brilliant walk in wardrobe and a great view across the golf course to the sea. The service on the Level terrace was more than we expected, it was practically all inclusive. The hotel is in a beautiful location and we enjoyed the drive from the airport in the car that we hired and also enjoyed exploring the north of Tenerife and up to the volcano. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning and elegantly presented but the best thing about it is the staff and the service they provide. Five stars to the staff, nothing is too much trouble and the hotel is extremely well maintained. The evening cocktail session is good but needs to be monitored more closely and it is irritating watching the free for all when you have paid for the upgrade. Now the negatives. These have all been mentioned before so I know we are not being picky. The food standard is nowhere near the standard required. We tried the a la carte but that was no better. Although on half board we only ate dinner 3 times. Breakfast for the Level guests however is outstanding. We used the pool but it was freezing, a quick swim and out again. Disappointing as the sea/beach is too rough to use locally. The spa area was lovely but expensive and usually access is included when booking a treatment but not here. We would like to stay again but there is a lot of competition and unless the food/pool situation is addressed we would probably be swayed to looking elsewhere at the price we paid. To finish on a positive this is a very friendly hotel and we were made to feel very welcome by staff, management and other guests.
"Relax atmosphere and nice location"
We stayed for 2 nights. The complex is huge, which offers a lot of privacy. Nice pools, but not heated in november. For this kind a hotel a heated pool or jacuzzi would be needed. The "level" service comes with self service for drinks in a separate lounge area outside and inside. The terrain to the sea has a golf court. Also a nice walking path bij the sea. The hotel is quite and doesnt have any entertainment in the period of our visit (which was ok). The restaurant doesnt match the hotel concept. The food was mediocre. Live cooking meat resulted in a mess one day of our visit. Some training for the personal isnt a bad idea. And they need to do something about the food part!
"Peaceful place to relax"
Amazing breakfast. Nice pools. Surrounding are great (nature). View was not as expected. Stayed only one night, but the sleep experience was awesome. Pools could have been heated a bit. Construction work ongoing nearby...a bit nosy when relaxing outside.
