Best Western Premier Opéra Faubourg is ideally located at the crossroads of important Parisian districts such as the district of the famous shopping malls in Paris close to the Opéra Garnier, the quarter of antique dealers next to La Salle Drouot and the district of Martyrs.
"Excellent Hotel in Excellent Location"
Best Western - Opera Faubourg is located very nicely (about 2 mins. walk from Le Peletier - Metro) and about 10 mins. walk to Opera in the heart of Paris. Room sizes, although a bit small are nicely decorated with modern designs and installations. The cleanliness is very good and the staff are very friendly in accommodating requests from the guests. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Paris and in the Best Western - Opera Faubourg.
The standard room is way too small for 2. I stayed there with my 16 year old daughter and the bed was 140cm large. The room on the first floor was facing the busy avenue Lafayette. Quite noisy with the metro sound under the building. Not enough space around the bed and the carpet looked very dirty. No bathtub. No refill of coffee or tea bags on the 2nd day of our stay. Quite disappointing for a 4-star hotel. Pictures look great on the website but the hotel is not aging well.
I traveled with Road Scholar group. There was another group there at same time who ate so much of the breakfast offering that there was little left for us. I felt it necessary to be waiting at the door at opening time. Food was good and staff efficient and very pleasant, just overwhelmed. Great location for walking, metro, and restaurants. Reception staff were wonderful.
"Better/larger than expected."
I kept reading on trip advisor about how small the rooms were so I was a bit concerned about the size of the room. We are a family of 2 parents, a toddler and a teenager. We got the largest room size they have and it was fantastic. Def. much more space than I anticipated. There was a king sized bed and full size pull out couch in which my daughters slept. The room was very clean, modern and updated. The bathroom is beautiful as well and had all we needed. The metro station is half a block down..we found it so easy and convinient to use. The hotel is just three short stops from the Louvre. There is a mcdonalds about three blocks away (in case you need more americanized fast food) but you wont need it, the area is filled with hundreds of wonderful parisian restaurants and coffee shops. If you need a supermarket, their is one a few blocks away which made it easy to buy milk for our toddler. Try the bakery across the street...for 2 euros u can get a freshly baked croissant and freshly brewed coffee! Delish! One last thing, the hotel has a mac computer and printer in the lobby which was a lifesaver! Had to log on to my email to print something out and was able to do so with no hesitation. Oh! and Free wifi! Any questions, just ask!
"Was glad when check put arrived"
I choose this hotel due to the great reviews it got on tripadvisor and booking.com I have no idea where these people stayed as this hotel is just awful. The staff at the reception were very friendly but the placed smelled, it felt like it had never been properly cleaned. I stayed in room 609. The room decor is very dated and the room size is tiny. The bedding was white and looked clean. The bed was comfy but the room did not look or feel clean. There are some questionable brown marks on the carpet. If I had known this hotel was so dirty and shabby I wouldn't have booked it so it also makes me question who on earth is leaving these glowing reviews for this hotel... Paris is an expensive place to book a hotel but I would most definitely recommend you book somewhere else...
