"Adequate but no personal touches anywhere"
The hoel is located in a small strip of more hotel brands. As usual the entrance suggests a bit more than the actual room itself. Facilities are adequate, room size the same, bathroom OK, etc. In fact nothing really wrong with it.I used both room service (which took about 40 min to serve an acceptable burger with french fries that don't really deserve that description) and the ironing service that was just fine. I missed a swimming pool! TV channels are OK. But what struck me most was the fully unpersonal treatment of me as a guest. Be it at breakfast or coming in late in the evening passed the front desk, it seemed that nobody was interested at all of my presence. The front desk did not even look up from his cell phone, even though i was the only guest in the lobby. The friendliest look I received during my 4 nights stay was from the room maid. Bless her!
"Business hotel, conveniently located"
In a complex city like Sao Paulo, the closest hotel to the area where you will be working is the best option. The Caesar Business by Accor is conveniently located, close to the Vila Olimpia mall, close to some very interesting restaurants and close to my office! The rooms are clean and offer the basic amenities. Breakfast is included, they offer a nice buffet with fresh fruit, great coffee and several and "interesting" hot local options. The staff was friendly and made their best to accommodate to some special requirements that I had.
This place is filthy. It's old and massively overpriced. I probably got a combination of AIDS and syphilis. And not the good kind. I recommend staying anywhere else, including sleeping on the street, than taking your chances
"Good business hotel"
Caesar Business Vila Olimpia is a quite typical property of the franchise, which was incoporated by Mercure in the past. This one keeps the brand Caesar Business, but it looks and smells like many other Mercures. Furniture is the standard, such as the workstation, TV, bed and bathroom. From the outside the impact is good considering that the hotel is located in the same building of the Pullman Vila Olimpia. Front desk is just close to the entrance of one of the best gyms in town, the Amaranto restaurant in the lounge is clean and refined, room service shares the good restaurant that serves Pullman as wel,l and location is perfect: just a few steps away from the Vila Olimpia Mall and lots of corporate offices of multinationals. Cons are the dated facility itself. There is only a few updated power jacks that meets the three-pin Brazilian standard, which is not good when you need to plug your notebook and mobile devices. In addition, the lampshade and phone were terribly dusty. However, to balance those downs, staff service is good, I was provided with a welcome letter due to my loyalty program status, and some sweet treaties were placed in my room upon my arrival. In summary, it is a fair hotel for business and even for leisure if you are looking for a fair cost in Vila Olimpia.
