Luv it! Gorge hotel! My husband couldn't stop talking about our bellman Mark! So helpful! We Didn't like the service on rooftop bar but we were told it's separately owned! Hubby loved being addressed as Lord😄 he would def stay here again! Bare in mind CT is a windy place! We experienced that the last night! The room had a balcony on the side street towards the mountain! Boy was dat windy ! Make sure to keep the glass doors locked ! The wind gust was serious to a point where we couldn't sleep! ( noisy) thank God that was the last nite! Otherwise everything was perfect! Can't wait to come bck !
With many many spas to choose from in CT- we did not really consider this Spa. We were NOT disappointed. Excellent ladies , great reception and beautiful amenities from the spa. Will most assuredly back.
"Short but Sweet"
This was a one night stay on arriving in Cape Town before moving to another recommended hotel in a different location that was not available on our first night. The hotel is reasonably large and the style elegant - though perhaps a bit overdone for some tastes. Our 2 bed apartment was very spacious and comfortable. We couldn't visit the roof top pool or bar which was closed due to high winds. Service was efficient Either side of the hotel are a series of restaurants and shops. It is perfectly safe. Perhaps the only downside is the location - a bit too far to walk to the V&A and not much else around, so expect to take taxis (plentiful).
"Great Place and close to V&A "
Stayed here in Dec 2016 for few nights but was staying in a private apartment in the hotel. Staff were still great, helped with baggage and also stored our baggage on the day of check out. Hotel is around 10-15 min walk to the waterfront area or around R20 uber taxi ride. Great place and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
"Good location but lacked something"
The hotel is located on a main road but despite being on the second floor we didn't hear any noise from traffic. Being a 7 minute walk to the Victoria and Alfred waterfront the location was very good. There are also a couple of restaurants next door and a supermarket which is convenient. The rooms were very spacious and well equipped with a large kitchen area with washer/dryer, microwave etc but no plates or cutlery which you have to ask for from reception. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the restaurant is more of a cafe with 9 tables inside and 9 outside. The food is nice and good value but the surroundings did nothing to add to the experience. The roof terrace area was a major let down - the pool was a disgusting colour with a couple of bags floating in it and the seating area wasn't much better. If you want towels there's a 100 Rand deposit for each though the quality was appalling - our dog has better at home. If the pool area and eating area could be addressed then this would be a nice place to stay but I dont understand how it can call itself a 5 star hotel as these two factors need addressing by the management as they let the whole thing down.Would we stay there again' - probably not.
