"Luxury only in the name"
Nice from the outside, good looking lobby, but do not this fool you. Room are odd, there is a window to to the hallway on your bedroom, which makes your room bright during the night, hotel is noisy, flooring does not help as well as the wholes in between the floors. You will have a full working kitchen, which is pointless for a 5 star, this make sense for whom are in a budget in a 1 start hotel. Living/tv room is ok, but why you need that in a beautiful town such as Cape Town. TV in the bedroom was a joke, small with terrible reception. Breakfast is way below a 5 start, For me looks more a 3 star standard. Other highlight, waking to water front is a little scary at night, with all the harassment; truly is not a waterfront hotel! Keep researching you will find better hotels!😉
"Wonderful Night Away"
My Husband and I stayed at the Cape Royale Hotel for 1 night for our 6 year wedding anniversary. The room was spacious and comfortable with great views of lions head and the harbour. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is centrally located in Greenpoint in walking distance of great restaurants.
"Lovely hotel In prime location"
We are staying in Cape Town for the weekend and we are staying in a 2 bedroom suit. Lovely and clean plus very spacious. The staff can't do enough for you especially the porters. It's a short walk from the harbour and surrounded by great cafes and restaurants. It has a gym and pool plus underground parking. Lovely hotel, we've had a great stay!
"Wonderful room and location"
I stayed here with my wife on the last leg of our trip to Cape Town and we were pleasantly upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite which was spacious and had everything we needed and more. The hotel is located on a Main Street so lots of options for food and there is a groceries store close by too and it's only a 10 min walk to the marina. Great location. The only thing was we asked twice for a plug adapter and iron and board but only received the plug adapter the next day and we only stayed 2 nights and so it was a little annoying not to get the service we expected but overall a great stay and they did give us a bottle of wine as it was our honeymoon! So no complaints really!
"Comforatble Hotel with some helpful, firendly staff"
This is a full service hotel with all rooms being apartments which provide a full kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine etc. I understand that there are some long term residents in some of the apartments. Room was of a good size although the bed in our room was rather small. Other rooms did have larger beds. Check in was very friendly and efficient and the items in the room explained. Luggage delivered promptly. We had a side view of the harbour and the mountains. Small pool and bar on roof but was very busy when we ventured there. Many restaurants adjacent to hotel which is a pleasant 15 minute walk to the V&A waterfront area. A free shuttle bus is provided at fixed times during the day if required. The hotel certainly benefits by the friendly by many of the staff. Small grip. When paying top end prices to charge ZAR10 for extra milk sachets was disappointing.
