I visited the sky bar and pool deck today with 2 friends and had been sitting on a lounger for nearly an hour before a member of staff (Vossie) came and told me very aggressively that the lounger had been reserved and that I must move now. As I stood up he proceeded to knock me with the lounger as he moved it away and then set it down and walked away. That was my first and last visit to this "luxury" hotel and I have to say that i will not be returning nor promoting it any time soon.
"Nice day by the pool ruined by rude staff"
What initially started out as a nice day by the pool was ruined when a member of staff forced one of our friends off the lounger because it was "reserved" with no signage and then knocked her with the lounger as he moved it away from her. Then the lounger just sat there empty as we spent the rest of the time by the pool. Nice facility, not nice staff! Very disappointing.
"Not quite up to expectations"
Booked through Expedia and with two kids we felt a two bedroom suite would suit us. We felt extremely welcome when we recieved an email even asking us even what kind of pillows and hangers we requested. Unfortunately the smooth experience stopped there. When we arrived at the hotel as advised they for some reason seemed surprised to see us, they thought we were arriving late. Our reply to the email on our preferences was 'lost' and it seemed as if we were supposed to be happy to even get a room at the hotel since it was overbooked. And instead of an upgrade we got a nice suite but no seaview. They totally forgot our name and called us Mr ann Lady Adams also in the welcoming note at the room. That is not our name. Not a five star experience.
"Lovely Stay "
Centrally located, helpful staff and a massive fully equipped, beautifully decorated penthouse suite made staying here a pleasure ! 5 minute walk to the promenade, lovely rooftop pool and bar area and close to most amenities.
Having been recommended this hotel by our travel agent, we were very disappointed. The suite room was weird, with no windows in the bedroom, very little food at breakfast, dreadfully noisy with disturbances until after 3.00am on The Friday night, and a charging policy if you asked for more than the designated two milk sachets provided each day. A sad reflection on this allegedly 5* hotel
