"The most ignorant unfriendly unhelpful staff!"
I have done a lot of traveling all over the world so I feel entitled to make this comment about the reception staff at this hotel. When we arrived at the hotel the guy behind reception who claims he was the manager on duty that night, barked at us for our credit cards to hold against the room, this practice is not unusual, however his attitude was extremely distasteful but I choose to ignore it and put it down to perhaps tiredness on my behalf. A short period later after going to my bedroom I realised that I needed an extension lead as my travel companion has sleep apnea and requires electricity in order for his breathing machine to work. I went down to reception to ask if an extension lead could be dropped up to our room. I was told the hotel only had one lead and it was being used for the coffee machine. After politely explaining that my companion required this as he had a medical condition, I was told that this was not his problem and I should go and buy one! After asking if other hotel customers had similar requests, I was informed that the hotel gets asked once a month for this lead and they are also told to purchase the extension lead. After much pleading and protest, I had to walk away feeling extremely disappointed and upset that customers of this hotel can be treated and spoken to the way I was!
"Lovely weekend in Bucharest"
Good location, within walking distance from Victoria square. Clean and quiet room (not facing the main street) with modern furniture and AC, spacious bathroom, very comfortable beds, great selection of breakfast.
"A nice hotel on a busy street"
This is nice hotel in the center of Bukarest within walking distance from the old town. The hotel is nice, clean and modern. I stayed here for two nights. The hotel is located along a busy street, but my room was facing the backyard and it was reasonably quiet. The breakfast buffet was good. The lobby bar was nice. This hotel is a good choice for a short stay in Bukarest.
"The place is a jewel, the staff is BAD!"
The staff in this hotel, with their arrogant and non-cooperative attitude, is sufficient to ruin your visit to this beautiful city. Asking the reception to call to reserve a restaurant he was dismissive, it is Friday and game night, very difficult. It is a small fish restaurant, I said. They all show the games, he answered! Offering to call just to please me he said they don't reply. Feeling suspicious of his theatrics, I called 10 min later from my room and the restaurant answered and asked me to come 9:15 to 9:20, because the kitchen closes at 10. In general, very impersonal service to frown - from the security guy, who I troubled to let me in the empty parking! Really hated them!
