"Christmas get together"
ASunday night stay in an executive double room on the 4th floor - note executive lounge is on the 8th floor. Centrally located on Mill Lane with all eateries and bars nearby. Small swimming pool with cold jet jacuzzi . Decent size room. Only one issue and that was with the TV - couldn't get any of the channels to work properly and they kept pixelating . Staff unable to resolve however final bill was reduced to compensate.
"Perfect night away ❤️"
Recently have come back from a night away with my boyfriend staying in this hotel and it was such a lovely place! The room was lovely, spacious and very clean. The hotel itself was really beautifully decorated. We had breakfast included which was lovely and it was only a stones throw away from all the shops and restaurants! The hotel bar was really nice too- nice and cosy to sit in and have a drink after a day of shopping! Only negative thing I have to say is that you have to pay more on top for parking- we did pay a lot to stay and in such a big hotel you'd think that parking would be free but it would not stop me from staying here again! Would definitely recommend as a place to stay for those visiting Cardiff!
A work colleague and I stayed here for an evening after a night out in Cardiff at the start of December. Our original choice of hotel was overbooked but couldn't of been happier with the Marriott as a back up. Friendly staff, great bed if the room wasn't a little dated and scuffed on the edges. Super breakfast and very good omelettes made fresh each day by the chefs (personal highlight) All in all a great stop over and next time would like to try the facilities as this is a bonus considering the location!
Disappointed. Just very very disappointed. Went via booking.com and were greeted like second class citizens by Ms Sammut. Found little black curlies on the toilet, which, as a housekeeper of a 2 star hotel I find unacceptable so for a 4 star it was a bit pants. This along with hairs in the DOUBLE NOT QUEEN ,as booked and dirty glasses was disappointing. However, on the up side, the lady, whose name I didn't get, that checked us out was absolutely lovely.
In a great location in the City Centre. Reception staff were good, room was very comfortable with good views to the Millenium Stadium. Decent enough breakfast, free wifi and parking to the side of the hotel. If back in Cardiff and had a choice I would choose here.
