"A 3 star which is 5 star"
I confess I did not expect much from this hotel until I entered. Basically it was a pleasant surprise on all levels: attentive staff, large room, fantastic view and a great breakfast. Without any doubt, I recommend it. Strengths: Location Value for money View Very spacious room Whirlpool tub (room 311) To improve: Plumbing
"Tired and needs renovation"
This place is inexpensive, but is in dire need of some updating. The location is great as was the price which included a decent breakfast. The restaurant was closed but the rooftop lounge was open for drinks and light fare which was not at all bad. An area on the roof is enclosed in plastic (see thru) so protected from the elements. Rooms leave something to be desired. Beds are not very comfortable and the rooms are in very bad need of renovation. But for an inexpensive one-night stay, it was ok. Service at the front desk was friendly.
"Very nice stay in Toledo"
My wife and I stayed at the Carlos V on the last few nights of our vacation. The location was right in the middle of the old town and convenient to the sights and lots of good inexpensive restaurants.
"NICE HOTEL WITHIN THE OLD HISTORIC CITY"
This is a nice hotel in the center of the historic town. Rooms are rather small, but with a nice bathroom/shower. As the hotel is in the center, there are lots of opportunities to go out and find a place to eat. Restaurant of the hotel only open for breakfast. They had a real nice breakfast buffet. Service was also very good.
Good hotel with a very convenient location in the old town. Very nice breakfast with good selection and gluten free options. Queen size bed and a view to the cathedral. Wonderful rooftop bar and restaurant with very nice service and food. Be aware that the best parking is about 2 blocks away at an underground lot and with the hotel subsidy is around €15/day.
