"Great Location, Great Pice"
We have stayed here twice; the first time in 2014 and had a good experience, which is why we came back for this visit in 2017. I highly recommend mend it! Friendly staff, convenient location! Room is clean, comfortable, good coffin bar, great breakfast selection.
The location of the hotel is OK. You have a lot of good places to eat and drink and there is just a 10 minutes walk down to the beach. Historical things to see/visit will anyhow require a taxi as Lima is a very big city. This is however not a problem and the taxis are many and cheap. (fewer if you need AC inside!!). The rooms are clean and pretty big, We had a suit ands really enjoyed. This was value for the money. Breakfast was also OK even though you might miss some "basic" items in a hotel like this, for example bacon and Salomon. If this is your first stop in South Am you will be surprised when you go to the WC. There are signs that you should place all paper in a basket besides the toilet chair. All papers used!! An the basket besides does not even have a lid/flap! Even at a high rated hotel like this! As we had been around in Chile and other parts of Peru we were kind of used to these signs. But still, a high rated hotel like this, you don't expect these signs....
Good location away from the hustle & bustle of Lima central with the traffic problem. 10/15 minute walk to the seafront with good selection of restaurants. Good breakfast offered. Kettle in room which was good for early morning tea.
"Good Accommodation with First Class Amenities and Service"
We stayed at this hotel on three occasions while in Lima. The first night was booked on: booking.com and included high-speed internet for 24 hours. The other two occasions were as part of a group tour which did not have this option. Wi-Fi was available in the lobby at all times with the concierge providing the password every morning. The public areas in the hotel are spacious with a variety of seating areas for meetings and gathering spots. Our first room on the 17th floor had a separate vanity/sink area and a large bathroom with a tub. Air circulation was poor in this closed room, so we used the waste basket to keep the door open. Water pressure varied in our room and a neighbouring guest room. This was not a problem on the 5th floor room, we subsequently had. Nice linens and towels were provided and a variety of toiletries. The lower floor room had a separate table and chairs/counter area. We bought our water down the street at Vivanda in large quantities and very cheap, although Tambo across the street also sells water at a higher price. There is no need to purchase the expensive bottles provided. The restaurant had a sumptuous breakfast buffet with many local specialities, European-style offerings and a plethora of cereals, grains, dried fruits and nuts to tempt the North American palate. They even had fresh soy milk each morning. We enjoyed sitting at the window-side tables each morning. The front desk staff were efficient and kindly answered questions of their guests with suitable information. There were always three attendants at the front door to greet us each day. Located in the heart of Miraflores, the hotel is close to Kennedy Park, the Indian Market, Psje Tarata with its many restaurants, Larco Av. for ATMs, and a 15-minute walk to LarcoMar and the ocean. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel in Lima and would recommend it to other travellers.
"Great location for walking around Miraflores area"
My room, 608, though located near the elevator was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Nice bed linens and good big towels. Regular amenities including the much appreciated magnifying mirror. No view to speak of at that level but not much noise from the street. Staff were helpful and courteous, the concierge outstanding in helping us locate a good restaurant for busy Saturday night dinner. Within walking distance of big park and the inca market was about a 15 minute leisurely walk. Good breakfast buffet. Note: a very odd cultural thing in Peru...toilet paper does not go in the toilet bowl but in a plastic lined container beside it...takes a bit of getting used to!
