Stayed three nights and it was comfortable. I got my laundry done and it was fast and inexpensive. The breakfast was okay. I ate simple food because of not being very hungry like the waffles. I had dinner in the restaurant where they serve breakfast and it was good. I had the cashew chicken and the wings. The staff was friendly and helpful. I used the safe and found it good to keep valuables.
"High Quality Hotel Outside of the Frey"
Stayed here on a business trip and found it to be a high quality modern hotel with good amenities. The breakfast buffet was extensive with Thai, Euro and Japanese selections. Rooms were well appointed and clean. The surrounding area has plenty of restaurants you can walk to and tuk tuks and cabs are plentiful.
"Vacation and Birthday"
A very good and luxury hotel, breakfast is plentiful. Also good location, it's about 10 minutes walk to sky train, make it convenient to travel to the city. Behind is fresh market, we went there for various fresh fruit. Seven-11 is on the left hand side. Pizza hut, money exchange is on the right hand side. An incredible cheap price tour shop is just next to Pizza hut. We booked Ayutthaya Cruise trip with Theo Express Travel. The trip is just wonderful. Trip to the floating market is also fun.
"Great hotel and good location"
The hotel is in a quiter part of bangkok away from the hussel and busle of the city, the rooms were a very high standard and very clean. We stayed bed and breakfast and the food was excellant, we also ate in the sports bar and this was also very good. We used the hotel mini bus to take us to the water taxi and did not feel that we were ripped off like some people have said in their reveiws and the driver even negotiated a better price on the water taxi that were trying to rip us off big time.I would definetly stay here again.
"3 day stay in Bangkok"
Having arrived at the hotel prior to the check in time & after a combined 13 hour flight with a 4.5 hour stop over in Abu Dhabi in between flights my husband & I were extremely tired. Our allocated room with a kings size bed was not ready but we were very keen to shower & rest for a little while. We were given the choice of single beds in a like for like room which was available & which we gratefully accepted. The room was spacious, clean, quiet & had views over a temple & bypass which was interesting to observe with the car lights in the dark. Breakfast was from 06:00hrs but they accommodated those guests who had early departures for excursions (of which we were one) by opening at 05:30hrs to avoid the need for a breakfast box. The food at breakfast was plentiful with lots of variety. There is a pool on the 5th floor with views out over parts of the city but which came with constant traffic noise. I suffer from severe tinnitus so this noise distracted from the constant buzzing & whooshing in my ears but may not be to some people's liking. The drink prices in the hotel were quite expensive & came with an extra 10% service & 7% tax charge on top of the listed price. We bought local beer & water from the 7/11 store just a short walk from the hotel. Tea & coffee was available in the room with two bottles of complimentary water daily. The Century Park Hotel has easy access to the centre of Bangkok on foot where you pass plenty of restaurants & other eateries on the way. Be aware it is very busy with traffic particularly scooters & there does not appear to be any driving rules - more 'who dares wins'. I would advise where possible using the pedestrian bridges to cross the roads as even on on the zebra crossings you take you life in your hands even when tagging behind locals. When I no longer became a target for a forward facing vehicle I found another reversing towards me - all part of Bangkok's bustling city experience. We took the opportunity whilst there to do the tour to the River Kwai & death railroad, POW museum & cemetery, a long journey but a must do trip. We also visited the Palace & golden & reclining Buddha temples. We are not city dwellers but despite the heat, dust, noise & traffic congestion we thoroughly enjoyed it although 3 days was long enough. A tip, it is worthwhile before leaving home to join the Bangkok Airways Flyer bonus scheme if you are flying out from Bangkok. It is free to join & entitles you to visit the free lounge which offers free snacks, drinks, Wi Fi & comfortable seating. You just need to enter your membership number details to your booking information prior to leaving home or have the card scanned at check in.
