"Great Hotel, Even Better Hotel Staff"
Amazing stay at Hotel Cervo. 1st Class facility with beautiful accommodations, breathtaking views of the Mattahorn, ski in/ski out location and great gourmet restaurant in house. Best part of Cervo experience, however, is the wonderful staff. They treat you more like personal friends than Hotel Guests. In particular, Assistant Manager Laura (as well as Thomas and Mia at Front Desk), went well above and beyond to treat us like VIP's. Thank you again Laura, your courtesies and kindness made our trip a memorable one. Highly recommend Hotel Cervo.
"A wonderful Chalet with a beautiful view"
My wife and I stayed in Zermatt for one night in mid April at the end of our holiday and I must say it was well worth the long train journey from Lucerne. The hotel is perfectly located at the end of a ski run, perched on the top of town overlooking the Matterhorn. The staff were very welcoming and provided a personalised introduction with a complimentary welcome beverage in their stylish bar. The room was very well equipped including complimentary mini bar (with good quality items). A comfortable bed, great bathroom, good noise insulation, and a balcony overlooking the Matterhorn (we chose the mountain view room, highly recommended). Breakfast was amazing with a thorough range of food including fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast, patisseries, muesli, juice, coffee, tea, cooked egg range (including eggs benedict), cheeses, and plenty of other options. We were thoroughly impressed for a breakfast that was included in our room cost. In fact, almost all items are included in the room cost, including a transfer to the train station (essential) which made the stay very stress free. I highly recommend this hotel for it's wonderful staff, great location, unique trendy style and all inclusive package.
"Wonderfully run hotel with great hospitality and apres ski"
Was fortunate to spend a week this past March with a ski group that had arranged a week at the Cervo. What a beautifully ski hotel. The entire staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable modern and well stocked with Molton Brown amenities, a Nespresso and a few snacks that are replenished throughout the week. The breakfast buffet was delicious. My favorite was Henny who greeted us each day and remembered I was the only one in the group to drink decaf. At the end of the day the pares ski was lively and well attended with other hotel guests and people form surrounding hotels. I was in room 403 in Chalet 4 which was up the hill and very private. lovely views of the Matterhorn and the room was a nice size. Would definitely stay at the Cervo again.
"Best Hotel in Zermatt"
Cervo really has it all... Its the only hotel that's ski in, where you can finish your day ski down the slope, take off your skis and just enjoy a nice apres ski drink. The terrace comes alive at the end of the day as all the skiers end their day at the bar. The food at the hotel is also very good not to mention the friendly staff that are always willing to help. The hotel is beautifully decorated, the beds are comfortable, making it hard to get out of bed and hit the slopes in the morning.
"Stylish, relaxed and welcoming"
First time in Zermatt and at the Cervo, but hopefully we will be back soon. Architecture and furnishings are stylish. The individual chalets make the hotel feel cosier than a large single building (although once inside the chalet each room is very private and isolated from the others so don't feel your privacy is compromised which may cross your mind if you are used to a typical chalet arrangement). The 'open plan' bathrooms may not be for everyone, but being able to enjoy mountain views from the shower / bath was a plus for me. The bed was definitely on the firm side so the hotel could offer toppers for guests who prefer a softer mattress (in fairness they may have been available but we didn't ask - a second duvet was quickly provided which did the trick). Both restaurants were excellent with delicious local food and regularly changing menu. The service from the relatively young staff was very professional and friendly. As mentioned elsewhere the apes ski on the sunny terrace was super. The live music and hubbub were not too intrusive when back in our room (Chalet 3) and in any event died down as the sun began to set. Overall an extremely good hotel with wonderful food and attentive staff.
