"Top Hotel & Restaurant"
Hotel Chateau St. Havel is a former 13th-century fortress, which was in the mid-19th century, rebuilt in neo-Gothic Windsor style. Wellness is great and has an incredible atmosphere. Near the forest. Romance itself. 1 free daily transfer to Wenceslas Square in the city center. It includes a golf academy with a unique driving range with a water surface. Beautiful room, friendly, helpful staff, excellent breakfast, fantastic cuisine and expensive. Culture = Blockbuster.
"Okay but not again"
We have enjoyed our private whirlpool, even thought we could had been welcomed or informed better. Our room is neat and equipt. We were given apples without knife and special valentines menu is only in czech. Bar on the other hand is not even two star! We were absolutely ignored! The way how they handed a menu and then just i don't know flirted with each other and never took our order ... we just left because we felt unwanted. One night with wellness fine, but not for a longer stay as here is nothing to do and it is quiet far from the center.
"Great place, great food, great atmosphere"
Chateu St. Havel is a place with a fantastic atmosphere, great cuisine and a very friendly and attentive staff. The place is kind of very well hidden but very well accessible from all directions. I really suggest to visit the restaurant here. It is a beautiful place with cozy stylish interior and winter garden. The cuisine is on a very high level. The taste of the food is really great. I particularly liked the grilled pike perch and the creme brûlée with black tea flavour. You can get here fantastic meat, mostly sous vide prepared as well. The rooms are stylish and cozy as well and give you pretty nice feeling of being on the castle. Hotel disposes as well with a nice private spa. I strongly suggest this place and definitely like to turn back.
"Nice private sauna, but bland massage and poor costume service"
We pre-ordered and pre-paid a private 90 min sauna and 45 min massage for two in Wellness center through another web site (Active Check), which offered deals for visitors with better prices. In other words, we were not staying in the hotel, but only visited the Wellness. Because of the double-booking, we were even contacted by the wellness center staff beforehand. Thus, we thought that everything should go smoothly and we can concentrate on enjoying our spa visit. The start was promising and the private sauna room was nice. Sauna was hot enough, the pool cold enough and the deal included one drink for each person. However, it would be reasonable to get at least water free-of-charge, as 90 mins in the sauna really dehydrates you. The massages after the sauna were quite.. bland. Relaxing, yes, and you'll get oil all over your body, and one who seeks some nice, relaxing touching might be satisfied, but as our muscles really would have needed some good massage, this didn't really filled our expectations. If everything would have gone smoothly as we assumed, this experience would have been pleasant. However, when we were leaving the receptionist insisted that they haven't received the pay yet and refused to investigate the matter for us which is simply bad costume service. Thus, we needed to call Active Check by ourselves and only then the receptionist was willing to admit that we only need to pay for the extra drink we ordered after the sauna (because of dehydration). So after this, we really regretted that we choose this place as there most likely would have been better and more friendly private saunas and massages closer to the city center or the Old City.
We have stayed for 4 days with our children. Ambiance was excellent. There is a small lake with swans. There is also a wellness club and service was good. The hotel also include golf course. The rooms may be a little bit larger. O.Ayan
