"Very Nice Stay"
Stayed here whilst on a business trip for one night only. Hotel has a modern feel to it and quite homely. Rooms very clean, nice bedding and decor. Staff were great and very friendly. it's very central and within walking distance to bars, restaurants and sights so it the perfect location for business or tourist traveller. Breakfast is pretty basic and continental style with a focus very much on cold dishes. I would stay here again without hesitation.
"Perfect rooms but street side too noisy to sleep with open window"
We were spending 9 nights at the hotel. It's a good place to stay. But we had a room at the side of the 4 lane road which is busy and noisy. Too noisy to sleep with an open window (what we like) There is a walkway that goes under the road to take you to the other side but escalators don't always work and when we were there homeless people lived in the corridor under the street.
"Clean and central"
I was delighted with my room here. We have stayed in a Citadines apartment before so knew what to expect. The room was spotless and had everything you needed for a short break. Coffee and tea are available for free in the reception area. We did not take breakfast in the downstairs area. We just self catered. There is a good bakery and supermarket close by (turn left out of the hotel and when you reach the traffic lights cross the road). There are also restaurants and bars in the square there. We had delicious pizza there one night. Top tips from us: Sunday morning get up early and go down to the fish market and beer hall. Blankenese - get the train then the wee bus to the front. Walk along the river and stop for coffee/beer. Get the river ferry home. Buy a day pass (after 9am) for €6.20 - can use on all public transport. Public transport is incredibly efficient We enjoyed the arts and industry museum (good gaming exhibition if your children are with you) Enjoy your trip.
My son is staying in an apartment at this hotel and I flew to Hamburg to join him for a few days for his birthday. I found everything about this hotel perfect. Its relaxing, comfortable, stylish, lovely breakfast and the room itself was super with lovely bed and pillows. The position of the hotel is central to everything and a lovely walk down to the harbour from the side of the hotel. Thank-you Citadines for a lovely stay.
"Perfect blend of luxury and easy-going-ness!"
My girlfriend chose this place for Hamburg and i was really pleased with it. We had the standard room with a kitchenette - sink, stovetop, dishwasher - and although we didn't use it that much - it just added so much space to the room and it was nice to have the room to make a coffee or a sandwich - so it was a lovely spacious room with a great bed too. The staff were very helpful and courteous. I felt like it was a really good mix of comfort and luxury without being up its own... - very relaxed. Across from the Hotel, hidden away a bit, is this great square with a good German bakery, sushi places, other restaurants and a few bars. A really nice spot. I'd definitely stay here again.
