Noisy at night. Windows nowhere near soundproof. Lots of people gathering to talk in front of the hotel between 1-3am. Bed too soft - mattress needed replacing. Shower excellent. Breakfast very good. Very expensive for the room size and problems described.
"Good location but average services"
All the historical places in downtown are really close. There is a price you pay for it: no hotel parking (you may use close by underground parking), very noisy surrounding and not the best services. But it may be OK for a few nights stay.
"Not recommended : Bad customer care - overpriced - noisy location - unconfortable bed"
Not a 4 star - except for the price. Very small room and bathrooom. Strange smell in the room. Unconfortable bed - too soft matress and very bad soft pillows. The double bed is actually 2 single beds joint togheter, you can feel the gap and that make it even more unconfortable. The area is too noisy with bars and traffic all around. WiFi is free but slow and annoying because you need to login every day, even multiple times a day. The price of beverage in the minibar is too high, 5 euro for a small bottle of water. They charge the full price of your stay when you check-in, instead of just getting a pre-authorization on the credit card. No other 4-5 start hotel does that and when I asked for explanation the front desk answered in a quite rude and aggressive way. Apparently they do it because they had bad experience sin the past. Basically they dont trust their clients. They start by charging you and if there is any problem you will never see your money back...I found that quite annoying. There are a lot better choices in Toulouse , where they have more care and attention for their guests.
"Very good hotel in a bust part of town"
This hotel is in an excellent position with an easy walk to the central squares of Toulouse. It is surrounded by many restaurants and eating places. We were in room 107 with windows onto a side street and were not troubled by any noise but it is on a very busy intersection. Other reviewers have complained about the noise. It is a large impersonal hotel but the staff were always pleasant and helpful when needed. The rooms are of a reasonable size. The shower and toilet have purple glass to separate them from the bedroom. We found this lacking in privacy but I have seen similar designs in other new hotels so some people clearly find it suitable. But purple is not the colour for good bathroom lightning and my husband found shaving difficult and I found putting makeup on a bit hazardous. We arrived by train and the taxi driver would not take us insisting it was only two minutes walk. It was after dark and the area around the station is quite unsafe. We found ourselves walking through crowds of young men with huge aggressive dogs. We were two elderly (obvious) tourists hauling suitcases and not sure where we were going. For our return trip we booked a hotel a little further from the station just so we can get a taxi. This may not be a problem during the day time. We did not eat the very expensive breakfast (18 euros) We found a delicious 6 euro breakfast nearby each morning. There are plenty of choices.
"Friendly & charming staff but the hotel is not a proper four star standard"
Not impressed with this hotel at all. Some reviewers mentioned that the hotel is luxurious. That's an exaggeration. Indeed, it is trendy and nice but definitely not luxurious. The rooms are very small. Some of the items are crucial to have in the four star hotel for the comfort of the traveler such as lotion, shower cap, bathrobe and slippers. These were not provided. The house keeping staff were nice and kept the room tidy but the floors were not mopped (hairs and not ours where found on the floor!!!). The hotel does not have a bar area where the one is able to have a glass of wine or a nice cocktail which you would expect a four start hotel to have. However, the staff at the reception were polite, friendly, helpful and hospitable. The location of the hotel is great. It is located in the middle of the center next to great restaurants and bars.
