"Christmas Afternoon Tea"
This was the Christmas afternoon tea and it was absolutely stunning. It has an understated elegance with a warm but excellent service. The afternoon tea was delicious with a twist bringing Christmas into the ocassion. Lights twinkling and fires burning around us as the tea was served. Every part of it beautiful , from the replenished sandwiches to the freshly warmed scones. Afternoon teas are a personal favourite of mine and i have been to many many places but i think this one will be very hard to beat. A very special teas.
The staff at this hotel MUST be the best in London..... if not the world. I usually stay at the Connaught, but feeling like a change stayed for the first time at Claridges. From arriving in the muddiest car in London, to leaving laden down with bags, the staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. We were upgraded to a Deluxe room as a consequence of booking with Amex, it was huge, bright and had a great bathroom. The lifts with their friendly lift operators are a really special touch. The smaller of the two bars, "le Fumoir" was very intimate and they made a mean Negroni. Excellent - i can't recommend it more highly - We'll be back.
"Epitome of English tradition"
Visited for an event hosted by the Fujian Tea Association, held in the French Salon. Very well laid out, good facilities, excellent staff and wonderful afternoon tea selection of sandwiches, cakes and Chinese delicacies. Long trek to the bathrooms, was surprised that there are not more for non-residents.
"One of a kind. "
Myself and a friend had the pleasure of enjoying a drink at Claridge's. The service and atmosphere was absolutely amazing. I did not have the pleasure of staying at Claridge's, but if the service of the hotel is as good as the service in the lounge I definitely will be booking the next time I'm in London. Thanks for the amazing service Claridge's.
"Flawless, and oh-so-British"
Claridges is quite honestly amazing, the staff can't do enough for you. The rooms are well-appointed and classically styled, the hotel is very luxurious and you feel very welcomed and looked-after during your stay. There was a birthday cake in the room which was a lovely touch, and the receptionist who showed us to our room sent complimentary champagne to celebrate my Birthday. Yes it is expensive, but it is also a traditional 5-star hotel in the heart of Central London.
