"Friendly, central and welcoming"
I have nothing but good things to say about my stay at Wellington. Everything from the breakfast to the staff is lovely. The hotel has a great central location with many shops/bars and restaurants round the corner. The staff goes out of their way to help you and the complimentary tea and coffee is a welcome treat after a cold walk. I would recomend it to anyone looking for a good place to stay in Stockholm.
"Relaxing and friendly"
We had read reviews about this hotel before booking and one of the reasons we chose Hotel Wellington was the advantage of a free evening meal. After a day sightseeing we are quite happy to 'stay in' rather than hunting for a place to eat in the evening, and Sweden is not a cheap country to visit. We really did not know what to expect but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a superior room and stayed in the main building. Our room (203) faced the courtyard and was very quiet and comfortable, we both slept very well. The only criticism would be the pillows - there were enough of them but the quality could have been better. The breakfast buffet offered great choice, both healthy and tasty. Dinner was a different set dish every night, sometimes with potatoes, sometimes with rice and always plenty of salad. There are plenty of restaurants close by should you wish for something else. The hotel is within easy walking distance of many sights and is also close to tube and bus. The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed and we got the impression several of the guests had stayed before. We certainly would be very happy indeed to go back.
"Cozy hotel with excellent location and friendly staff"
I was travelling with my wife and two small kids. The atmosphere in the hotel is very cozy and family friendly. The staff was superb very friendly. Breakfast was extremely good. The evening buffet was also a very nice extra and very handy with the kids after a long day at the city. I will definitely come again.
"A charming hotel with excellent food"
This is my preferred hotel in Stockholm. Breakfast is wonderful, and the hotel even serves afternoon coffee and an evening meal! The location is excellent, and I walked almost everywhere. There is also a sauna.
"Best small hotel I have stayed in"
My room was vey quiet and the blackout curtains were totally effective. Important to me. Many hotel's blackout curtains allow too much light to come in around the side. No problem here. The evening supper is a big plus. After a long day of touring, I just want to eat a quick meal and be done with it. Going out eat can be very time consuming. Even after being seated in a restaurant, you have no idea how long it will take for the waiter to come, and then for the food to be prepared and served. Clarion Wellington's food selection was limited, and not as gourmet as fine a restaurant would be. But it was totally adequate for me, and the convenience or choosing from a buffet in my hotel was priceless!
