Park & Suites Prestige Cannes Croisette hotel is ideally located 100m from the Croisette and close to the Rue d'Antibes.
Bathroom badly needs replacing, too old to be cleaned properly and fabric shower curtain hanging in bath stained. Must be hard for cleaners to make it look presentable. Room itself and bed were clean, breakfast good choice. Convenient location for Croisette but a long walk to the Old Town for choice of restaurants. Will stay elsewhere next time we visit Cannes.
"Clean hotel with good location"
Good location close to the croisette, clean rooms. Bathroom was small en and getting out of the shower hazardous due to the high step. Breakfast was ok, but artificial with industrial eggs, croissants and muffins. I did love the balcony outside the room!
"Reasonably priced hotel - dated, but good location"
The positives: polite and well-informed staff; an excellent location just a few minutes from the super-expensive hotels on the front; a nice pool area with plenty of room to sunbathe (but look out for mosquitoes - we were bitten like mad! And the kitchenette, which despite some design oddities, was a God-send in expensive Cannes. Good air-conditioning, too. The negatives; our room was an odd shape and poorly laid-out (#419). It was basically a reversed "L" shape, with the (tiny) bathroom to the left and the bed (comfortable) straight-ahead. Firstly, the bathroom: the shower was powerful; that was good. But to use it, you had to stand in the tiny bath at an odd angle to get wet - had the shower been located in the obvious place - at the end of the bath - it'd have been fine. As it was, one had to contort oneself into an odd angle to use the shower. Similarly, the toilet was so close to the wall, that I had to sit at a 45 degree angle to use it. And whilst the bed was comfortable, to get past it to the window you had a tiny one foot (30cm) gap between the end of the bed and the wardrobes. Not a good lay-out at all. It would have made far more sense to swap the kitchenette location and the bed location. But despite this, we liked the hotel - it was certainly a bargain compared to most similar hotels in Cannes. And despite the dated rooms and (in our case) odd lay-out of the room, I'd recommend it to anyone on a budget who wants a pool.
"Friends long weekend visit. 3/5"
The interior of the hotel was nice and modern and location wise the hotel is excellent. Rooms were cleaned daily eight fresh towels. The reception staff were also friendly and helpful. Down sides of the hotel were that only some rooms had balconys even though they were on the same row, wifi although free timed out every 15 mins and was hard to connect, breakfast was 19 euros and there were no staff dedicated to the bar, the receptionists made the drinks when they weren't busy at reception first. We also found a tool nail in our bed! Luckily we spotted that before any injuries were made. Fair room rates and good location but would not return
"Don't expect luxury"
I've attended an event at Martinez on Tuesday and knowing that I would only need a hotel to change and sleep, did not want to pay Martinez prices. Clarion Suites is perfectly located just around the corner from where I needed to be, so I gave it a go. Location of the hotel is fantastic. I had a standard room, which was rather large - a very pleasant surprise. The decor was a bit dated, but everything was in a good state, everything worked and there was plenty of storage space. The small kitchenette they have in the rooms can be very useful. There are plenty of plates, cutlery and glasses, making an in-room dining an appealing option during the longer stays. The bed was a large double / queen size, and the mattress is a bit on the firmer side. Good quality bedding. Bathroom was fine. Same as the room, a bit basic, but everything worked. I've stayed on the second floor, and it was a bit dark in the room. The staff at the reception desk are rather indifferent. No one asks how your stay was and whether you needed anything. Check-out was long, long, long.. There was only one person processing the checkouts, and the second person just sat next to him, even though there was a queue of people. I've moved over to her to see if she could help to speed up the process, and she said I had to go back, as she wasn't doing the checkouts. Oh well. They offer daily breakfast at 15 euros per person. I just thought I would mention that there is an abundance of lovely cafes and boulangeries within minutes walk. I had a wonderful French breakfast for 7 euros just off the Rue d'Antibes. All in all, it was an adequate stay in a fantastic location. I presume the 4 star rating comes mostly from the presence of a pool and a spa, but certainly not from the service. I did not have any problems during my - very short, one night - stay, but it also wasn't the experience to write home about.
