"Had awkward basement room"
Was excited for our first trip to London, but disappointed with our hotel room. We booked well in advance and had helpful communication with the staff ahead of time (asked for some advice because we were arriving on Boxing Day). The staff was lovely, the building is gorgeous, and the place was clean, but we were given a basement room with a strange window that was at ground level inside a dark courtyard that wasn't much more than a ventilation shaft. The basement smelled of cleaning supplies and we could hear vacuums and heavy cleaning equipment being lugged up the stairs. We spent very little time at the hotel, just for sleeping, so it wasn't a deal breaker, but the room was laid out awkwardly and had no natural light to speak of. Perhaps a higher floor would have provided a nicer room, but I wouldn't stay there again.
"Ideal Location near Paddington Station"
We had a 3-night, 4 day stay here in September 2016. This hotel is within walking distance of Paddington Station, about 8 mins, which is very handy when getting around London. The hotel is in a quiet street and was comfortable and clean, with the rooms a bit on the small size. The only disappointment was that when we booked many months ago, we had requested two rooms next to each other but on arrival we were given two rooms that were very far apart, with one at the very top and one on the lower ground floor, Perhaps it was a busy time'
"Great location, Clean Room with Great Facilities"
As my fiancé and I were travelling with our toddler, we wanted it to be as easy as possible to arrive at our hotel and avoid tube stops where we could. We therefore chose to stay in the Paddington area as there is a direct train from airport to Paddington Station. The Clevland is then only a 10 minute walk so was very easy with all our luggage/pram etc. After we narrowed down the area this was one of the best priced (decent looking) hotels that had a Queen sized bed as many did not. Rooms were a decent size - still average but good for London standard! Clean, comfortable and had a small kitchenette with fridge so it made it easy for us to have food in it for our toddler and to make him breakfast in the morning. The main entrance area had a coffee pod machine which was nice to have on arrival and when we left the hotel to take one in a take away cup with us. Lovely staff. Overall a great experience!
"Does not meet the expectations "
Very very mediocre vs the photos published on the website. Do not accept the rooms 30-32, they are so small you can hardly move there. At the same time the price level is the same as for larger rooms.
"Another great stay "
Becoming a favourite hotel in Bayswater. It's a clean well appointed hotel, with good working space, desk and power outlets close to the desks and also to the beds for charging your phone overnight. The bathrooms are not large but Joe I have stayed on every floor the showers all have a good pressure and the bathrooms clean with decent toiletries. Heating was needed this time and the air conditioning units provide a good temperature and keeps you warm. Beds are very comfortable and always clean and well made, I look forward to staying again.
