"Clontarf Castle hotel"
Amazing hotel! Very friendly and helpful staff! I recommend it for everybody! Great bar and restaurant, food is really tasty. You can really feel this medievel atmosphere. Big free parking and very convenient location, close to the airport.
"Clontarf Hotel worth the visit/stay"
I would definitely stay here again. Friendly staff, comfortable hotel. Very nostalgic. And the beds for a double deluxe are actually close to a king size per American standard size. This is a great option for an affordable rate.
"Fantastic service in a beautiful hotel! "
We stayed in Clontarf Castle right before Christmas with two small kids, aged 3 and 5. We figured they'd love staying in a castle and enjoy the Christmas lights and festivities. They had a great time, but for us, it was even better! The castle has family rooms, but when you get there, it seems more oriented to adults than to kids, so we were unsure if it is a good match for the family. Nonetheless, the kids had a great time, running around looking for "dungeons" and knights in shining armor hidden in nooks and crannies! Meanwhile, they were treated to cakes and goodies by the reception staff, as if they were the little princes of the castle. The castle itself, the bedroom, the bars, restaurants and facilities were fantastic, but what really made the visit extra special was the customer service. Everyone from the reception staff, bar staff, and restaurant staff was so nice and accommodating: even the cleaner on our floor was jolly and had a laugh with us one day! With two small kids, we're used to being an occasional nuisance to restaurant and bar staff, but we never once felt that way at the castle. I got the distinct impression that everyone there enjoys their job, and truly wants to make you feel special during your stay. We've travelled a lot, but we've never quite found so much friendliness as we did in Clontarf Castle! Particular mention goes to the very friendly bar staff, despite how busy the place was, and the restaurant. I was nervous about going to the restaurant with two small kids, as it looks initially like a very adult restaurant, but it worked out wonderfully, and the kids actually behaved well for once, and we didn't feel like we were putting out any other diners, so that was good. All in all, it was a very enjoyable stay. We were also able to walk down to the water front and get a Dublin Bus into the city, which was a fun experience, particularly taking the kids to the top of the double decker bus. For them, a great adventure all in all!
"Amazing Castle with Friendly Staff"
We came to Dublin to celebrate our honeymoon. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Tina was especially helpful and friendly during our stay. They hailed us cabs quickly. Breakfast is filling and a bargain. We were especially impressed with a handwritten note, flower pedals on the bed, macaroons with contrats written in chocolate when we first entered the room. Its small touches like this made our honeymoon stay truly memorable. We hope to visit Dublin again soon and if we do we will be sure to stay at the Clontarf Castle. Thanks again. Ross and Jen
"Beautiful hotel with excellent food "
I stayed here last Friday and I only have positive things to say about the Clontarf Castle Hotel. The room was beautiful and the dinner in the Fahrenheit restaurant was simply amazing. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The breakfast was one of the best I had in a hotel. Can highly recommend a stay here!
