"Lovely setting .."
This is a mixed review - the hotel is in a beautiful setting on the side of a mountain, not too far from the airport. We had asked for a sea view and weren't disappointed with that - we had one of the 'shabby chic' rooms which was nice .. we did have to move after the first night as unfortunately our room was right over the speaker for the outdoor entertainment which wasn't pleasant. Our next room was the same decor but a bit closer to reception, the beds aren't the most comfortable - we put the duvets from the wardrobe as a mattress topper which helped a bit. We didn't see Anne when we arrived as she gives everyone a tour of the hotel - there is no map or details of what is on offer in the hotel in the room, and it covers quite a vast area. We found our way to the snack bar and had a chat with Anne there. The snack bar has a nice offering of pizza, pide, wraps and sandwiches and are all cooked fresh to order so are nice and hot. Unfortunately all the A la Carte restaurants had closed by the time we had arrived - I did hope that they would make more of an effort in the main restaurant because of this but there wasn't the greatest selection on offer - lunch and dinner always seemed to be similar. There was a great salad bar where you could pick what you wanted in your salad and it was chopped up with herbs and a selection of dressings - this also closed part way through our stay. We went out into Bodrum a few evenings for a change of scene - it was really easy to get the local bus from the top of the hill - and Bodrum is beautiful with a great selection of bars and good restaurants. The hotel was due to close the day we left and unfortunately the staff started to pack away a lot of the sun loungers and tables from the restaurants, making us feel like we were outstaying our welcome!!! A lot of the staff went home the first week also, leaving some that weren't the best - we found that the bar staff would carry on their mobile phone conversations while serving you or hardly look up from their phone which we've not experienced in a hotel before. We had a nice time, and the weather was good, hotel is in a good location and has great potential but I don't think we will return as we need to go away slightly later next year.
"Love Turkey, Love this hotel :)"
Turkey is such a beautiful country I go every year. This is a beautiful hotel, it is set in the perfect location in torba and has the most beautiful scenery and sea views and lovely sunsets, myself and my family had a lovely relaxing two week holiday here, love the new infinity pool, and the beach, the sea water is so clear can sea all the fish swimming, spent everyday by the beach love the water sports, Everything is positive about this hotel, the only thing I would like to add is we stayed here about 4 years ago and the quality of all of the A la cart restaurants and the general service in the restaurants was so much better before, 4 years ago! so if they could improve on the A la carts restaurants would be perfect in particular (Turkish and Italian) which were very disappointing :( Also if they could have more entertainment after the show that would be great as they did have 2 live bands, the cuban band which was excellent best I have ever seen!! but if there was more entertainment after the show that would be lovely instead of just Dj which got abit much every night. But would defiantly recommended this hotel and its great value for money :-) And thanks to ann for being so lovely friendly.
"Great holiday but once is enough"
hello to everybody we just back from Bodrum Turkey Club Blue Dreams Hotel a week ago and i just wanna leave a comment for those who may wish to visit this hotel. Before i start i have to mention that we been there from 22.09-29.09 probably considered non season anymore. i have to give a 5* service for the Landscape, the view, cleanest, the beach, the pools. Room was nice the standard sea view but i was more than happy with all the greens we had around us and close to all amethyst. i will give a 3* for the animation team what does not really exist, the SPA what i consider expensive for the service they offer ( i had a better Turkish bath in Egypt) , i will give 1* for the Restaurant including the Staff they not friendly at all ,nobody speaks English and they are not very helpful. Food was a big Disappointment for me working as a chef I can notice any little details. The food was the same for the all 7 days we been there lunch-dinner always the same. No sea food at all Salad section very nice and nice variety including fresh hand cut salads with dressings but common who can eat salad for 7 days all day' The Cake and Sweet section everything was made with jelly so i just eat couple of time till i get bored wasn't tasty anyway than i choose fresh fruits every day which was very nice. Bread section large variety but not fresh bread and the butter was expired smell disgusting and taste oily.Than they change the butter. Soup fresh and nice everyday i really like them soups. The hotel offer only Turkish Cousin and unfortunately most of the guest was from England so disappointing for them not to have a nice Steak,Fish and chips or even an English breakfast which we all know how popular it is.Other variety of Breakfast was alright but not 5* Hotel,i would say a 3* Hotel maximum. Drink wise 0 nothing to drink really, wine taste acidity no spirits only some brandy and vodka, soft drink with ice taste coke but any other natural drinks or fresh nothing,i had only water.Coffee taste not coffee but was OK. i would recommend the Hotel cos everybody has a different taste in all for a good week of Relax is perfect. The Hotel manager Miss Anne Poole she was very nice and she always look after the guest and help with all she can.Thank you for her.
"Lovely views and room"
We upgraded our room and it was worth the cost. The view was stunning. The infinity pool was lovely, sadly no one serving on the bar the last couple of days. We returned on the 3rd of october right at the end of the season. I would not recommend anyone going this late for the following reasons 1. No a la cart restaurants which first choice failed to mention. 2. The majority of staff finished on the 1st of October. So getting served in the infinity pool became impossibel. Also one barman constantly on his mobile even when serving you. 3. The animation team during the day made no effort what so ever to speak or attempt to get activities going. This was from the start of the holiday. By the end they weren't even around. 4. Entertainment was poor. With the exception of a turkish night it was a kids disco and the odd quiz. Last night absolutely nothing no even music. 5. No night club was open and this really should be mentioned when you book. Which i blame again on first choice for lack of customer care in informing us it would be closed. However the saving grace was Anne Poole the guest relations manager. She gave us a tour of the complex. She was always around to help with excursions and information about Bodrum. She was very helpful when we did complain. For example when we complained there were no table tennis bats she tried to find the animation team to get them. Unfortunately even table tennis had gone by the last couple of days. If i was to return i would go when it was in the height of the season. The majority of the staff were friendly and although they had limited English they tried hard to please the guests. However the stunning views, lovely pools and the professionalism of Anne made this a relaxing holiday
"Amazing views but....."
Myself and partner arrived here on 23rd September for a weeks holiday. We booked this hotel as it was all inclusive, a short ride from the airport and very secluded as we just wanted to completely switch off for a week. On our arrival it was around 7pm so the sun had set but we were impressed with the views and the beautiful lobby. When we checked in the receptionist spoke some English but we didn't understand a word she said! But didn't mind as we were tired and hungry so we were shown to our room which was not the upgrade but we thought it was a lovely room and clean enough (But mold in the fridge!). We shortly went on a hunt for food and eventually found the restaurant which was buffet style with plenty of choice for hot and cold food (But the menu was the same every lunch and dinner which was disappointing). We had to ask for cutlery as they seemed to be closing yet it was only 8.15pm'! and we couldn't figure out how to get a drink so we had no drink with our meal. When we had something to eat we went and found a bar next to one of the pools where some music was being played but no entertainment (One night they had 30mins turkish dancing). The barman didn't understand when we asked what drinks they had (nothing on show) but I spied a menu and asked for a blue dream cocktail and pointed to it as it was also written in Turkish and was given a strange look and then presented with a red drink! By this point I could only laugh and took the drink anyway and hoped tomorrow we'd get into the swing of things. Unfortunately the rest of our holiday followed in the same way. We released that there was no other restaurants as they had been closed for the season but not once did we get informed of this or was it explained before booking that this was the case the same for the entertainment and the drinks! Drinks choice was Coke, Sprite or water. Local beer, vodka, rum, wine...that was it... no fruit juice in any form which I personally was disappointed as I had longed for a nice cocktail. I realise I have wrote an essay already and this was just our first 24 hours and it didn't get better after that. Having read the reviews and looked at the pictures and done a lot of research we thought this was the perfect place for our first holiday ever together in 9 years! but it wasn't the fairytail we had hoped for. Yes the pools and views are amazing but we paid a lot just for that and have come home feeling disappointed so we won't be returning to Blue dreams again.
