"Wonderful, wonderful 5 star Hotel"
Having discovered the Como brand through staying at The Como Treasury in Perth we decided to spend time at another Como residence and chose Como Point Yamu, Phuket. Having recently been to Phuket on business I must be honest in saying that what I wanted was the beauty of a real Thailand with 5 star solitude but within easy reach of noise and hubbub. That is precisely what you get at this Hotel. In fact we would looked forward to returning (escaping back) to our 5 star enclave each day.. Firstly this is a 5 star hip hotel with a professional Thai team looking to provide the very best with the local management having the very best of Hotelier background, Swiss. The Four Seasons, wherever I have visited, is first class and you have a feeling of that similar ethos and quality in the 2 Como Hotels I have visited. Indeed this stay was the longest we have ever given to one location, 2 weeks, and the time has flow by. The rooms are wonderfully appointed, turn down each night, bottled water by the bed, in the fridge and in the bathroom. The bathroom shower is just fantastic and the Shampoos/soaps etc are of the highest quality.. the beds are supremely comfortable and the sheets/pillows/pillow cases are a must to be purchased, which, good news, you can buy in the shop and have delivered to your home wherever it might be. The dining is wonderful, room service is instant and the buffet breakfast will satisfy anyone! If you are a family book the villas they are stunning. Lastly, the spa, the treatments are first class and the rest and relaxation area with sauna and steam room are... First class... I am glad to have discovered the Como brand and look forward to further stays safe in the knowledge that wherever we go the standards will be of the highest order. Next stop - Como Cocoa Beach - Maldives!
"New and sound"
It's relatively new and has great view. The fact that the hotel is located next to a luxury gated community to which guests can visit on foot/by bike is a plus. Hotel staff was pleasant and helpful except upon our departure the hotel got us a drive who does not speak English and did not know the area well and we ended up being stranded on the taxi for more than an hour before getting to our destination, which should have taken no more than 15 minutes. Food was mediocre for the price but service was excellent.
Stayed for 7 nights during our honeymoon and enjoyed every minute of it. Beautiful designed hotel with views everywhere you look. We booked a Bay Suite room with Pool which was very large and also had great views. During the day we spent most of our time at the main pool which is never crowded. While the hotel does not have it's own beach, the beach club makes up for it and is actually better in our opinion. The private beach with pool and restaurant are so relaxing and the ride to and from is not that bad. We took advantage of the daily activities as well which included complimentary Yoga, and one of the daily bike rides. As for food, the breakfast buffet big and has lots of options. The dinner restaurants are good but not great. We tried the Thai restaurant and also had another dinner for NYE. Little pricey for both and the food was just ok. We walked 10 minutes down the road to Breeze which was recommended by some guest and turned out to be one of our favorite meals of our 2.5 week trip. The service is good but at times I felt the staff could have been a little more accommodating. We stayed at multiple "luxury" hotels along our Honeymoon and the staff in most places went above and beyond. The two managers (Andy & James) were extremely helpful but there isn't a dedicated "concierge" that was able to help us when asking about restaurants or things to do in other parts of the islands on some of our nights out. All in all - wonderful place to forget about the outside world and completely relax.
"Tropical chill overlooking the sea"
I stayed at this resort for four nights over the 2016/17 New Year period and had a great time. We went there to relax and I took some writing work, which the hotel was happy to accommodate by making up a desk for me in our suite. We chose a private pool suite with a great view. The service was exceptional and the food very good. The resort is quite isolated away from the busier side of Phuket so perfect for relaxing. It also offers a private beach a boat-ride away, a fantastic gym with yoga classes, two restaurants and games rooms. Best of all the resort went all out to put on a fabulous New Years Eve event. I highly recommend Como Point Yamu if you are looking for a holiday full of R & R.
the hotel is very nice and the service is excellent but the environment is not good, there's very close at the pier at Yamu a hug business with many boats and buses all with running engines all day and loud music and hundreds of mainly chinese tourist , is too loud for a quite holiday , I cannot recommend this place
