"Great resort for families."
My family stayed in the one bedroom villa. The quality of the room was pretty good. The outdoor sun loungers were a bit run down. Looked like they could be replaced. The pool was very nice in the villa. Not sure what use the butler service was. No one really explained that to us. Room service hotline was everything we needed. The food, in general, was decent and had a lot of healthy options. Although we did fall ill to some in room dining. I think it was the roast pork salad. We spent one day at the COMO private beach club. The facilities there were very nice. Although the cost of the cabana was not explicitly mentioned to us prior to our arrival. The beach club is also quite a journey to get to. It took us 45 minutes to get there. The beach there was very poor. The beach was lined with trash. The sand was definitely not white. I don't recommend going there. I think it's one of the worst beaches I've been to in Phuket. The main pool was lovely. We swam with our infant son. Unfortunately, we did receive a few complaints about taking our infant into the pool. Although I didn't see any signs that said we couldn't. Overall I thought there wasn't much value for money with the one bedroom villa. At this price point, there are plenty of options in Phuket.
"I will give it 5 points but it's not flawless"
We just returned from a one week stay, a family of 5. The property is really beautiful, without a doubt one of the nicest in Phuket. The design is so fresh and beautiful. We come a lot to Thailand and we are quite tried of the traditional Thai design and this hotel has a very nice Italian fusion design. Very fresh and bright. The villa we got was a bit small but we managed. The view was amazing. The villa itself is very nice and comfortable. We loved it. The service is very good, we had our own butler and we got fruit and small surprises all the time. The first issue to consider is the isolation of this property. The hotel is remote and quite far from any other tourist attraction or restaurants. If you don't want to eat in the hotel you should take a long drive. Luckily we came with the intention to relax so we where ok with that fact. If you wanna feel the Thai experience of having some coconut on the beach or deal with local vendors that's not your place. That's being me to the 2nd consideration which is actually a flaw: 2. The beach club is 30min by boat from the peer near the hotel. That means that from your room to the beach you should calculate 45min aprox. There are only two times a day that you can take the boat and if you feel like going before or after or return before or after it is quite impossible. That is a serious flaw to be considered. The other thing is that the boat ride is with wooden long tail boat. That is quite authentic but surely not stylish and not comfortable. Perhaps if the hotel could provide a stylish luxury boat for this ride so the whole thing could become an asset instead of a liability- for hotel management consideration! 3. The food in the hotel is very good. Even in the beach club the restaurant is very good. The fruit are always fresh and food taste is great and accurate. There are also many gluten free options. That was an important thing since the place is isolated and we had to eat all 3 meals in the hotel for a week. However, the restaurants service was a bit messy, especially when the restraint was busy. The waiters looked lost walking in and out from the kitchen forgetting orders and bringing half orders to the table. We almost never ate in the same time. Always someone receive his order than another one and after 20min the others and do on. Restaurant service must improve it's not up to the standards of this wonderful hotel. For summery I would recommend to the hotel management two main things: 1. Work on your restaurant management . It's not such a big issue and I believe you can solve it with the right effort. 2. Invest in a nice boat. You already invested so much in the hotel so few hundred thousands more will not make a huge difference. If the boat ride will be luxurious and fun, it will become a nice experience to go to the beach club so instead of a flaw you will have an added value! On overall we really enjoyed, the flaws I mentioned did not spoil our overall experience so I give you five stars! M.
"A super relaxing stay!"
We stayed at Como Point Yamu for 4 nights over the Easter break and thoroughly enjoyed our time there! We booked the Phang Nga Suite and it was absolutely beautiful with amazing views and wonderful balcony around the entire suite. The service was great and the rooms were very clean (although we did notice ants coming through the door from the outside balconies). We had fresh fruit, plenty of drinking water, and Nespresso coffee available in our suite. We tried both restaurants and while both offered great food, the Thai restaurant lacked the atmosphere little bit (by comparison, the Italian restaurant had nice live music and a mix of indoor/outdoor dining tables, which made eating there a more enjoyable experience). While there is no beach by the hotel, you can take a traditional Thai boat to a small neighbouring island and enjoy the beach, a swimming pool, a restaurant/bar, and other facilities there. Water sports and equipment were also available - just remember to take money with you in case you want to do water skiing or rent the sea scooter (which require extra payment) as these are handled by an external company and have to be paid in cash on the spot. We haven't used the spa or the gym at all as we have booked two external day trips during our 3.5-day stay so I cannot comment on these. Overall, it's a great hotel and I would recommend it, especially if you're looking for a quieter, relaxing location in Phuket - we would definitely consider going back!
The Como never fails. Have stayed at both Bhutan properties and this one and it exceeded expectations. Staff was most helpful and the breakfast blows my mind every single time. Get the traditional Thai pork with sticky rice for breakfast. The on site Thai restaurant was a bit of a let down but was mostly because it cAters to a more western palette and isn't as spicy as I would like. Pool is beautiful and has a quiet section where couples can avoid families and children. Room is beautiful and spacious!
"An enjoyable stay"
We stayed for two nights in a pool suite room. We originally booked a one bedroom villa for three nights with agoda but they cancelled our booking unfortunately. They did try and approach the hotel on our behalf and request for our booking to be honoured but this was not possible which was very disappointing as there seemed to be lots of availability. What we loved - The main pool. The views are simply stunning and it is never busy. Staff are super attentive. - The food in the Italian restaurant is delicious. -The breakfast is great and the menu is extensive. -Our children loved the private pool in our suite -The free movies in the room are fab. Perfect for rainy days or the evening as there isn't much happening. -The concierge team are so helpful and friendly What we liked - The size of our room What we didn't like - Upon arrival we felt the hotel resembled an upmarket clinic/hospital. It is very sterile and seemed to be lacking in atmosphere. - Although the reception staff were friendly they were not as warm and genuine compared to the other resorts we have stayed in in Phuket. -Our room, although a good size is in need of refurbishment. The floors and mirrors were both heavily stained - The furniture by the pool in our room needs replacing as it is worn and in poor condition -There are only two restaurants which is very limiting. The location of the hotel itself is remote so if you want to eat outside of the hotel be prepared to pay at least 1000 bart for the taxi. -We found the price of massages, food and drinks to be expensive compared to other 5 star resorts in Phuket. - There is no direct beach access. We didn't take the boat to the hotel beach as the weather wasn't too good and after reading reviews we decided to give it a miss. This didnt really matter for us as we had just spent an incredible few days at the Surin beach Phuket, but if you want direct beach access from the rooms/beach villas you may want to look elsewhere. All in all we had a great time but I'm not sure we would return.
