"Great place; Fantastic staff"
From our arrival to our departure, we experienced incredibly accommodating staff, who personally showed us our rooms, delivered bags, constantly offered to help us with rides, drinks, beach, anything we needed. The hotel was great--a remodeled Art Deco hotel in Miami Beach--was well-manicured and maintained, with a nice bedroom and an inviting/large pool area. The French theme was very inviting as well. Staff outside were also fantastic. Oliver, a manager in training, was particularly helpful and engaging-- made our stay there that much more special.
Romantic relaxing place to visit on Miami Beach! Great location, wonderful service, and amazing amenities! Valet, restaurant, room service, steam room, exercise room, Jacuzzi waterfall rooftop pool, outdoor pool bar made my business/vacation perfect. With robes, rainshower, view, room, and the service was second to none. Thank you!
Great time in South Beach!...Metropolitan was awesome!... from the rooftop steam room and hydro pool to the beach... staff was great... big thanks to Ricardo and Carlos down at the beach, Alexis at the bar and Kassan at the front desk... above and beyond!... will be back!
"Best stay in Miami"
Frankly surprised from minute 1 when I walked in enquiring for room availability to the moment we left 8 days later one of best Hotels in Miami beach !!! All deserved a full AAA rating ( maybe only the Spa a lttle below the rest but still very good)
"Clean hotel in good location"
We came to the hotel on the weekend after staying downtown for a few days. The hotel is in a good location, smack middle of miami beach. It's new and clean and the hotel staff are all very nice. However we were a little disappointed in that the hotel seemed overpriced for what we got. Initially we booked a King room (2 nights for $930) but after seeing how small it was, how it was next to the elevator and spa and that it looked directly to an unattractive building we asked for another room. We waited an hour for someone to show us other options and we were told there was nothing available in the same category we were shown the "higher level" rooms. We were shown a one bedroom ocean view suite at an additional price of $170/night. We were able to negotiate down to $100 additional per night. The room was nice but we were surprised to have to pay the extra given that there were no other suitable rooms for us to move to. I assume the hotel does not do complimentary upgrades as most hotels in this category often do. Breakfast was good, a nice variety and the fresh juices were a standout. Hotel is definitely on the quiet side so if you are looking for a happening spot, this isn't it. We did make use of the clean and white marble tiled steam room- didn't expect to smell herbs in there...eucalyptus i think, so that was a plus! The decor in the rooms needs a bit of warmth, a nice rug would help it out a lot. Overall, it was a fine stay however I wouldn't choose again if in the area.
