"Excellent cocktails, relaxing vibe"
This place has a great rooftop bar. The bar is very nice. There is a really chilled vibe to the place. The bar has a variety of different seating and the decor is modern and nice. You instantly feel like you are on holiday. It is just a great place to hang out and relax and unwind in the evening. The bar staff are really friendly and attentive and the food and drinks are excellent. We had sushi and cocktails. For me, I think the prices are completely reasonable for what you get. While there may not be a formal dress code, its worth making an effort and dressing up a bit- it goes with the vibe of the place. A great find! I hope I can go back one day
"GREAT Boutique hotel"
Great place with a great vibe and beautifully designed hotel. Very chill and relaxed. We loved staying there as it was recommended by friends. The rooftop bar was great, altho they do close a bit early and the downstairs was a great place for breakfast. We only had coffee there because there are so many great places to eat in the neighborhood. Highly recommend this hotel. Altho rooms are on the smaller side, at least ours was, but very well designed and very comfy. We had a view out onto the street, lots of light and it was not loud. Would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Mexico DF.
"Great neighbourhood, great roof terrasse."
We will go back. Select the room outlooking to streets at upper levels. Breakfast is very nice, but there are so many resto in the area that morning breakfast can also be taken during walks. End of day roof terrasse cerveza ( Finissima ) is a must.
"Horrible hotel in a great location"
The good: pretty building, nice rooftop terrace and a great location The bad (there's a lot!): 1) the internet will never work. We kept complaining, they kept acting surprised. It was never fixed. For us on international data plans who need to do some work, this is a big problem and unacceptable. 2) very noisy rooms. Bring earplugs and pray for a decent night sleep. Housekeeping will also randomly knock on your door at random hours of the night and as early as 6AM. Repeatedly! 3) AWFUL AWFUL service. We would have to ask a waiter 5-10 times for anything we needed before we got it. This was true both of the lobby restaurant and the rooftop terrace. The incompetence is unbelievable. Their staff just stands around doing nothing and ignoring repeated requests for basic service. 4) We wanted to charge a bottle of water to the room on our way out to dinner. The fact that they charge for water in a hotel that costs $500 or more a night on a country where we can't drink water is ridiculous. But fine. We had a waiter chase us out to the sidewalk and yell at us in front of other guests that we didn't have enough "funds" to charge the water. He was of course wrong as our room wasn't prepaid. When he realized he was wrong he didn't bother to apologize for being very rude to us in public. 5) We organized a driver through the hotel to visit Teotihuacan. Scam artist. They charged us more than what was initially quoted. The driver also took us to his friend's souvenir shop nearby and said the gates don't open for another half hour when we could clearly see people climbing the pyramids. This was simply a scam to have us buy crappy souvenirs from the store. Unacceptable behavior from a vendor. We were trusting that a supposedly high end hotel like this would work with decent people only. I could keep going on and on, but I think the above says a lot. For these prices you have many options. Save yourself the headache and go to one of the several boutique hotels near by. AWFUL hotel, AWFUL service and incompetent management.
I wish I had carefully read the reviews. Was excited to stay here but only to be quite disappointed. For this price range and in Mexico I expected better. Cons: room smells like fresh paint, dirty floor (dust, sand), walked in to a used toilet, very small room, extremely dark shower probably so that you don't see the tiles coming apart. No space in the bathroom for your personal items. Rooftop and restaurant are really nothing that trendy or exciting. There are much better places near the hotel. Pros: next to a nice park, great area of town filled with lots of trendy restaurants, cafes, bars I have stayed in many design hotels and this was by far the biggest disappointment. For the price range, there must be better options in Mexico City! If all else fails, I am sure there are even more spectacular Airbnbs in this price range.
