"Pampering in luxury"
This time, budget was not the concern for my travel It's was the grand birthday party for my grandma who was 99 years old, and all the cousins had to contribute funds for this event. I checked into the 40th floor 4011 and was greeted by a very warm feeling of home. The view over-look the Victoria Harbour which was spectacular. Two very nice touches: a complimentary yellow duckling by the bath tub, and 2 cute teddy bear from Conrad Hong Kong with our bed already turned down. The room came with two morning breakfast which served up continental cuisine. The housekeeper was very friendly and service us well for our 3 days stayed. One very receptionist checked us in and showed us how to log into their internet that had connection not only in our room, but througout the hotel. We got a welcome fruit and complimentary not 2 bottles of mineral waters but 4 (two by our beds, two by the mini bar). This was a plus after a 8 hours of travel by air. We got an iron board and iron in our room where it was a necessity to iron our tuxedos/shirts after a long flight while attending the party down stairs. Finally, Hong Kong was hit by a bad typhoon and the umbrella in the room was a life-saver. All in all, this is one hotel in Hong Kong you should experience, should your budget allows Oh, one finaly thing, there is a free shuttle bus from the Hotel to the Hong Kong Station, that was nice to have friendly , Michelle, from the concierge to recommend it to us. It wasn't about charging the hotel guest all the time, but advising what's best for us that counts!
It is great to stay in conrod Hong Kong starting from the great ambience in the entrance till the comfortable rooms and the great food and outstanding staff and additional to the good location which is connected to the MTR, the Admiralty station which keeps you connected to any places easily, floor 53 and room number 5304 facing the Victoria harbor was great. Special thanks to Antonio G. Cadang JR and Philip Poon for their outstanding jobs.
"What a hotel..."
I have never stayed in a fancier hotel in my life. This hotel gave macaroons in their turn down service as well as a nice enough bottle of red shiraz (best I've had' No, but pretty darn good for a free bottle). Also get stuffed bears with Conrad shirts' Okay, I'll take that please. This hotel thinks of everything and delivers. Easy enough to get to and the staff are very friendly and willing to bend to whatever their guest needs. While I did not particularly enjoy Hong Kong, I enjoyed the Conrad immensely. Only complaints are that coming from the metro it can take a maze walk through the mall to get to the hotel, but that is not enough to bring this hotel down from 5 well deserved stars.
"Ok for families with kids but can find much better for business"
Location in a mall is practical. High floor views impressive. But: aircon in the room is really noisy and won't help proper sleeping. It is ver unfortunate and room have no windows of course in a skyscraper. Also, the food at both breakfast and room service is really not great. It shld be a 5 star but food is rather that of a bad 3 stars. On the good side, service for kids and babies was great from the cot to the baby sitter.
"A Magnificent Hotel with Outstanding Staff"
We celebrated our 25th anniversary while in Hong Kong. We were lucky enough to get upgraded to a suite at the Conrad, and it was absolutely beautiful. In addition, the staff provided many other treats and surprises. Thomas Tong and the Concierge staff were great. In addition, Ken Cho and the staff in the Executive Lounge were outstanding. Ken constantly checked in with us to see if we needed anything. He gave us great local recommendations for sites and restaurants. We will definitely choose the Conrad again if our travels take us back to Hong Kong.
