"Beautiful hotel, great service"
This hotel is gorgeous and the staff was so accommodating. Would highly recommend this place. It's right in downtown Indianapolis, so I was able to walk to my meeting. Can't beat that. The bartender makes a great Moscow mule.
"Digital key - cool"
The room and stay was okay. The customer service rep. was AWESOME. She really sold the hotel and the services but the staff at the hotel did not deliver fully. Didn't like he fact that you have to share slippers. For what you pay for the room the slippers could be added as a disposable item.
"Average at best"
Hotel was average at best, expected much more for its status. Was not welcomed as a long time gold Member, was not offered an upgrade, had to ask 3 times and was given a high floor. Including turn down, newspapers, breakfast. Never recieved either. Was given a 10$ voucher for breakfast which doesn't include anything. Spa was booked all weekend, hotel offered no alternate options. Staff friendly at best. Not worth the money. Expected so much more. No breakfest or coffee... they offer more at motel 6.
"Cheap is expensive: Pay a bit more to experience a joyful stay."
Downtown: The Conrad hotel is at the heart of downtown Indianapolis, which means shopping, museums, and restaurants are within reasonable walking distance. We were able to walk safely less than one mile to the Mass Ave district and spend the bulk of our afternoon browsing a variety of specialty stores. In fact, Indy Reads Books is at the end of Massachusetts Avenue with comfortable chairs and pleasant staff to greet you. We recommend The Eagle restaurant on your walk back to the Conrad. Service: Conrad is beautiful, clean, and sophisticated but without pretension or condescension. Both the room and bed were absolutely comfortable and inviting. The bathroom was a dream with marble-like tiling, a terrific shower, and easy-to-use bathtub. Housekeeping was exceptional (we were fortunate to have Abarett who staffed the 7th floor). Best: The concierge (Taylor was outstanding!) and the hotel staff were professional and warm. There is a fair-priced spa on the second floor, and of course a clean swimming pool without the over-use of chlorine. Also, be sure to breakfast at the Capital Grill Restaurant. Order the blueberry pancakes (with real Vermont maple syrup!) and share with your party. Encourage yourself to have a nightcap; the Old Fashion and French Martini were a nice close to the evening. Concerns: The parking rates were expensive ($45 per night), but then again you're care will be secure and you'll have top valet service. There is a minibar in the hotel room, which can be locked to remove temptation, but there is no other place to store perishables. Although it is annoying to see $6 bottled water and snacks about the room, this trend is what many hotels follow anyway. All-in-all: Book the Conrad. I've stayed at the other hotels in downtown Indy over the past five years, and the savings overall is not that much for a "meh" stay. Cheap is expensive. Treat yourself to what a hotel experience should be.
Excellent Hotel! Conrad Hotels never Disappoints. Wonderful Service! Great Location! Spa, Pool, Fitness Room are top notch. Food from room service also superb. Would stay again without second thought!
