"Nice Hotel, But Uneven Service"
The Conrad is a very nice hotel. My room was large, comfortable and immaculate. There were ample outlets and the wifi signal was strong. The public areas of the hotel are nice, and the Capital Grill-located off of the lobby-provides fine food. My criticism of the hotel relates to inconsistency in service. My front desk experience was good. The bell men, on the other hand, seemed disinterested. I was also unable to place a room service order because no one answered the phone on a morning when I was in a hurry. The 24 hour room service promised by the hotel was not meant to be. I will give the Conrad another chance, because it is a nice hotel and the location is quite good. But a hotel of this caliber needs to perform better.
"Pure Luxury (and friendly staff)"
Wonderful hotel with plush accommodations and friendly staff. Pillow menu was fun too! Right in the middle of bustling Indianapolis, walking distance to everything! So convenient. Would definitely stay here again.
"Beautiful hotel in the middle of everything"
We arrived on a busy Friday evening and were greeted immediately by the valet. They took my car away and Amy checked us in. She is wonderful! Helped us with room location, gave us shopping information and suggested dining. Incredibly helpful and you can tell she really loves her job. It was one of the best check in experiences I have had. We had room 1822 on the top floor with 2 double beds. The room was stunning! Comfortable beds, lovely bathroom with large tub and separate walk in glass shower. We had room service both nights of our stay. It arrived within the time they gave, was hot and delicious. This is a great location. We used the skybridge to go to the mall and convention center. We booked another stay the day we got home.
"Fantastic... made to feel a million dollars!"
The hotel itself is quite amazing... certainly the best hotel in town. The rooms are spacious and the sheets of high quality and you really notice the high thread count. That's when cotton almost feels like silk! They even have a "pillow menu". The pool was very nice... didn't get to use the spa but I felt the relaxing vibe just walking through the space. We had the use of the pool to ourselves late at night and the glass ceiling was a nice touch. Had a little issue with noisy housekeeping in the morning however the manager more than made up for this... I told him they were very close to excellent however my impression with hindsight is that they achieved just this. Credit to all their staff... I get the impression they really do care. Nothing is perfect but this hotel isn't far off. The breakfast is quite good... worth paying the extra for. I think we should have stayed an extra night and used the spa... if we ever come back... (when we come back!) we'll be sure to visit the Conrad Indianapolis. :-)
The corner deluxe suite was lovely with a great city view. The staff dropped complimentary Champagne in our room for our 20th Anniversary which was so nice. The only negative was that house keeping never came to our room. We were out of the room between 10-3:30 and they never stopped by. That was a shock for a name plate like Conrad.
