"Your Luxurious Accommodations for Your Indianapolis Getaway"
The property is located near everything that you would like to see and do in downtown Indianapolis. The 1 King 1 Bedroom Corner Suite provided a nice upgrade over the standard room. Room service from the Capital Grill was prompt and the Belgium Waffle qualifies as "Best Ever." The chocolate covered strawberries were to die for. The hotel is not shy about offering room upgrades at additional costs. Some may be offended, but I was flattered to be offered the $3,500 Presidential Suite. Since you are staying in a downtown hotel, you need to understand that the hotel is near the intersections of two busy streets and you will hear traffic noise, even on the fourteenth floor. This was the perfect property to celebrate an anniversary with someone very special to me. I cannot wait to return.
"Not as nice as I remembered!"
Pretty non-description decor - almost looked dated. When we checked in at 6:30p the 18th floor hallway was full of piles of dirty linens outside rooms. The bath shower had excessive mold in corners and water leaked through the bittom of the shower door onto the floor. Certainly not the level of "luxury" that was expected - but easy to fix. Staff were great and always responsive. For the price point, Internet should be free! Not just the low band-width offered as complimentary.
"Outstanding Customer Service!"
My girlfriend wanted to take me away for my birthday weekend and she chose The Conrad. Having spent over a decade in the hospitality industry, both domestically and internationally, I appreciate solid customer service and don't take it for granted. However on this occasion, everything went right from the moment we pulled up out front. The valet parked the car with a smile and professionalism. The front desk service was quite amazing. There was an art exhibit on display with a sign about the Long Sharp Gallery. I inquired about the art exhibit and thought they might have a tidbit of info and direct us to the gallery. Amy at the front desk not only told us where the gallery is located (it's within the hotel just down a hall and around the corner) but she also had a great deal of interesting background information about the subject and the history. It was at that point that I realized The Conrad was clearly a step above the competition and they were genuinely focused on providing a great customer experience. As we checked in we were a bit tired from our drive and Amy had a great recommendation for dinner. The Capital Grille is located adjacent to the hotel and we could simply walk right over which was perfect. The food was plentiful and delicious (the breakfast is not to be missed!) Lee is a Concierge extraordinaire and secured a reservation the next evening for us at St. Elmo, a landmark steakhouse that should be on everyone's itinerary. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. We will definitely be back! Thank you Amy & Lee!!
The hotel is still new and lovely in a great sense of repair. The front desk staff, bell personnel, valets and room service all made our stay very special. I cannot speak to amenities outside of our room as we did not use any. The hotel is wonderfully situated an see rode bikes in the Cultural and then Monan trails. The hotel stored the bikes in the baggage room. We were extremely happy with this stay and will return.
"#1 Luxury Hotel in Indy! Collocated with the Mall, Wine Tasting, Art Gallery & Capital Grille"
We wanted a quick getaway of fine food and pampering, and The Conrad Indy delivered! From the moment Ms. Amy Ambs checked us in, she became our go-to person for utterly amazing service -- she's one of the most remarkable people in the hospitality industry. Lee Ann is also a fantastic concierge, and gave us several tips for thoroughly enjoying our visit to Indy. We enjoyed the Capital Grille for breakfast and dinner (see my separate review), and a First Friday treat at the Long-Short Gallery (another separate review). Although I've also stayed at the JW, and actually had a reservation elsewhere, I wanted to try the #1 Luxury Hotel in Indy. This will now be our no-planning getaway. Tips: 1 - Corner rooms are well worth the price 2 - Best views are on the 18th floor 3 - Book the Aveda salon & spa when you book the room 4 - The pool doubles as the spa waiting area, and is completely decked out for total relaxation - don't forget your suit 5 - This hotel is full of perks - use them! (Pillow menu, turn down service, wine-tasting bar, art gallery ... the luxury is abundant.) Thank you!
