"Conrad Rangali Island, Maldives"
On our 3rd visit to celebrate our wedding anniversary we could not imagine a more idyllic venue and gracious staff combined with amazing restaurants and accommodations. We are planning our 4th visit to this wonderful location as soon as possible
"Perfect stay !! Top Class!! "
I would highly recommend this place, from start to finish the service was perfect, the wine specialist is excellent he is highly trained. We loved the happy hour where we had two or three free drinks very nice touch! Water crystal clear and over water villas perfect with amazing jacuzzi!! Food was good, breakfast excellent and plenty of scuba and diving options!
"The Holy Grail of the Maldives!!!"
My experience at the Conrad Maldives was in a word, "Awesome!" I absolutely loved this resort and while there were a few things to nitpick about, it was an absolutely amazing experience! First things first, the Maldives is Super-Far to get to. Coming from Los Angeles, I'm not sure if there is a place on the planet further. Me and my Fiancee were able to get a flight from Los Angeles to Doha, Qatar in which we had a 9 hour layover (Stay at the Airport Hotel in Doha if you have a long layover.) You cannot get a direct flight to the Maldives from anywhere in the USA. From there we had another 5 hour flight to Male and then the Seaplane transfer to the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island. Upon arrival, simply amazing. We arrived there during Thanksgiving Week and we actually arrived on Thursday/Thanksgiving Day and stayed thru late Monday afternoon as we had an evening flight back to DOHA/LAX. Upon arrival you are greeted by your personal concierge-host and that person escorts you to your room. What I found out by talking to my host was that they worked everyday but they were only responsible for 3-4 guests at a time. In more talking to my host, I found out that there is more staff on-site at the resort then there are guests so the customer service was pretty amazing when needing anything at your room. The first two nights we stayed in the most standard room at the resort. The standard room at the resort runs for about $1000 a night so even the most basic room here is far better than anything at many other properties that I have stayed at on vacation. On Day 3 of our stay I asked to see one of the over water villas. Now, If I had just not seen the over water villa, I would have been completely satisfied with the standard room. After seeing the over water villa in person, if you can afford it, it's almost impossible not to Upgrade. My Fiancee begged me not to spend the extra money on the upgrade...until she walked into the over water villa. The over water villas are AMAZING!!! It is..."All That and a bag of Chips!" To define the Conrad Maldives..."Super!" Superlatives in every category. I had a friend ask me to define the trip and I said everything is "Super." It is: Super Far to get too Super Expensive Super Amazing Super Exclusive Super Expensive Part 2 Super Fabulous I recommend that you go experience this place ASAP. Here are my very few negative complaints: Everything is Super Expensive but since we knew that going into the trip it didn't phase us. Regardless, it's not cheap so you need to have a decent budget to come here and enjoy yourself. I don't mind spending money on vacations and at amazing places but some things are ridiculous like $200 to jet ski for 30 minutes. The food here is okay. If you are a foodie then you will be disappointed. I basically ate buffet for breakfast and then had dinner at one of the restaurants. Nothing too bad, nothing to good. Alcoholic Drinks aren't made good here. Maybe because it's a Muslim country and they don't drink but we had to tell every bartender how to make our drinks. The Queen Beds in the standard rooms are two twin bed mattresses that split in the middle and separate. Not too comfortable at all. The Mattresses were my biggest complaint at this 5 star resort and one of the best Hilton Properties Worldwide. They were inadequate at bet. You kill it with everything at the resort and then you get in a queen or king size bed and they have given you two twin mattresses. Management...Upgrade the Mattresses PLEASE! Everything else was absolutely amazing and I plan on returning!
"Continues to deliver a perfect holiday"
People define holiday in differing ways. If your idea of a holiday consists of truly escaping the busy world, the bustle and the constant churn of daily life and for a short time replacing it with tranquillity, sunny weather, calm seas and top class service then the Conrad in the Maldives continues to deliver. My wife and I have been a number of times before so this trip report focuses only on what has changed since we last visited October 2015. The first change was the fact we had a different villa, 404, a lovely water retreat villa towards the end of the main island. Whilst I did miss looking across to the other island, this was a real bonus upgrade and meant we had our own hot tub on the deck (which I used quite a lot) and direct access to the sea which we used a few times. It also meant we met two great guys who looked after our room. Sharad was the ever watchful and very keen to help supervisor who made sure that we never wanted for anything. Use too many coffee capsules and they don’t complain, they just bring you an entire box to make you sure you don’t run out, now that is service! The guy that actually serviced our room was called Ahmed and he excelled at painting messages with flowers across our bed, or making towels into peacock shapes or for our last night a towel whale shark that just had to be seen to be believed. This “nothing is too much trouble, indeed no trouble at all” attitude from the two of them was a key reason we still see this as the best destination in the world. The other change was the newly invigorated Chinese restaurant UFAA hosted by the celebrity chef Jereme Leing who we met. Added are tables on the beach which is just a heavenly setting for a meal and a great a’ la carte menu that we really enjoyed. We also tried something new in that they run a “Dumpling cookery class” which is great fun. The concept is that you spend a short time learning how to make steamed dumplings, Wontons and noodles and then cook and eat what you made. I do advise you to skip breakfast or to expect to miss your evening meal if you do the class as there is a lot of food to eat but the whole experience is both unique and fun and whilst I don’t think Ali would give us a job in his kitchen we really enjoyed this new option. All our old favourites continue to be available, we enjoyed much better weather as February is a great time of year, the service standards are still impeccably high whilst also being warm and friendly and the clear night skies still make you stand still and watch and contemplate a different life even if only for 8 nights. It is good to know there is a world to escape to for a truly remarkable holiday and in our opinion the Conrad Maldives is the very best other world.
"Ok but wouldn't go back again thier are better islands"
Island is very expensive The Ittaa restaurant over hyped, food is too fussy instead of being food done well they have tried to throw the kitchen sink at it. Not worth the money Staff are excellent and friendly, but rooms need updating.
