Family of 4 stayed at The Conrad Maldives in October 2016. Can't say enough about this hotel, the location, and the staff. The service was a 10/10. We will return soon for our next vacation. This hotel is world class. Pricey but worth it.
Without doubt the best vacation we have ever been on. From arriving in the sea plane airport ( made to feel so special by the staff ) to arriving at the resort every little detail was perfect. The views are just amazing can't pull your eyes away, after being shown to our water bungalow again breathtaking. Every meal we had was delicious but probably the best was The Wine Cellar followed by a close second Sunset Grill. You don't want to do much here just relax eat and drink "quiet zone" in the days was bliss I did go scuba diving the staff were excellent and to swim after a whale shark on my third ever dive was out of this world. If you ever have a chance to go to this resort jump at it you won't regret it.
"Best resort I've stayed at"
Truly amazing resort! I've had the pleasure to stay at many resorts and this property is at the top of the list! Everything is thought out, and done to perfection. Just make sure you bring a lot of extra spending cash for the dinners.
"Amazing Service and Amenities"
The staff was excellent at making sure our every need was taken care of during the stay. We enjoyed all aspects of the hotel - pool, spa, beach, activities (snorkeling with whale shark), fitness center, underwater restaurant. Everything was amazing!
I think if you haven't been to a luxury hotel that offers over the water bungalows, this is a good place to start. If you have been to other luxury hotels that offers over the water bungalows, I would say don't bother. The service, food, experience, was overall okay. The food is ridiculously overpriced for the food quality, even for a place that imports everything but the Maldivian lobsters. All the restaurants charge $15 for water when you get free water in our room and for prices like $325/person or $225/person, or $150/person for dinner, your expectation for the food quality is very high, however, never met. While the food is good, it's not worth the price. The staff is friendly; most of them try to come up to you everyday to see how you're doing and others just ignore you, or drive off in a golf cart leaving your husband behind. All and all if my friends were visiting Maldives, I would recommend they go with a different hotel.
