"Super couple of nights"
Well, all I can say is my father in law had the best 80th birthday ever... The hotel staff really do look after you, and make you feel special, especially the birthday boy. Food was great, lovely wide selection at breakfast, dinner in the Blue Boar and afternoon tea, all of great quality. The bed was so comfy and the room was spacious.. Loacation was great too, St Jame Park underground was opposite and Westminster just round the corner. I would love to comeback. Yes its expensive, but hey, your staying in the luxury of London, so its expected. Didn't put us off.
"A Bespoke Experience"
We stayed for five nights in a Junior Suite which was modest but well appointed. The location was ideal for all the places we had to walk like Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminster and the Tate museums. This former InterContinental Hotel was less sprawling than I expected, with 256 rooms. The staff certainly gets an "A" for effort though service is at times inconsistent or sluggish. Enthusiasm and willingness to help, make your stay feel special. We took full advantage of the Lounge, making visits for breakfast, afternoon tea or quiet time. And interestingly enough, we found that we enjoyed Afternoon Tea at the Conrad, downstairs, more than tea at the Savoy (despite their lavish surroundings). We ordered room service more often than "necessary". But then again, things worked out as they should.
"One of London's finest"
London for business and/or pleasure and have stayed in numerous large and small luxury hotels in central London over the past few years and this one is excellent. Well equipped rooms, first class service from the front of house through to the restaurant in the evening - I really cannot find a fault.
"I'll be back!"
I was lucky enough to stay for the first time last Thursday along with a colleague when we were in London for a work trip. As well being a beautiful hotel, the service was impeccable and we were greeted and looked after warmly from check in to check out. My room was very attractive and comfortable with everything you would expect from a 5* star hotel. The spacious bathroom was a particular highlight. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Conrad London St James and I am already looking forward to returning in the future.
"One of the best Hotels in the Conrad chain"
Elegant classy luxury. This is a small hotel with only 6 floors and feels more like a boutique hotel rather than part of a massive global chain. Rooms are perfectly fitted out and extremely comfortable. Nespresso machines with a good supply of capsules along with excellent bathroom amenities help. The rooms are not very large by international standard but are good for London. Staff are all well trained and extremely helpful. The executive lounge is very comfortable with self serve drinks and snack in the evening which were both of a good standard. Location is excellent being right beside a delightful park and a tube station. It is worth noting that if you stay on the lower floor you may be able to hear a low rumble of tube passing underneath. I did not find this to be a problem. The hotel gym is small and barely adequate and seem to be rarely used by guests so I don't imagine the hotel is under much pressure to improve it. Overall this is a great hotel and one of the best in central London
