"Nice location, bow-shaped extra bed"
Excellent location close to Nyhavn and classy embassy neighbourhood and precious old storage building makes this hotel a good pick fir your stay. Signs of wear and tear is not that important, but a rather uncomfortable extra bed in a junior suite is no good. Massiv wood-pilars, small window and huge ship-models gives a maritime feel.
"Nice hotel at Nyhavn"
I just stayed this hotel again on Sep. 2016. I arrived it early in the morning of Sunday and I should wait room around 1:00 PM. So I leave my bags and walk around Copenhagen. It is quite near to Nyhavn which is the most famous place at Copenhagen with beautiful buildings and nice boats. Recently near to hotel new bridge and new parking places are built. Many people are sitting on new parking places under the sun. Later I got room around 1:00 PM because many people check out late on Sunday. Breakfast is very nice with all kinds of fruits and variety of nice breads. Room is clean even space is not so big but with nice soft bed. Only pillows are sometimes too big for me. This is one of best hotel for walking around Copenhagen.
We stayed here on a weekend away. Initially, we were put in a 1st floor room above an event hall. Unfortunately for us there was a company Christmas party below and noise travels week through the old beams - it was like being in the same room! We told reception staff who seemed a bit surprised we were told about this and promptly upgraded us to a suite. It was amazing, old wooden beams, stairs leading up to the bedroom mezzanine(') from which you could look down into the sitting room. Great service, lovely room, comfy bed, quiet, amazing location.
"Marvellous ancient architecture"
It´s a good location, nice with an impressive ancient architecture, But people in the reception is very cold, nobody offered help with the bags, you do not see a smile, but only the formal job obligation. Asking for directions is also deceptive. I liked to be there, but I realized that other hotel had the same view: perhaps cheaper and being more excited to receive guests
"Lovely, well-located hotel with great character"
The hotel has masses of character with exposed brick and timber and beams in the rooms. It is very well appointed with a high standard of bathroom facilities. The location is great as you can walk into the centre of Copenhagen within around 5 minutes. Although breakfast was included, we ate breakfast out most mornings, so the only meal I sampled was a late dinner following my arrival on the Friday night. This was in the bar, rather than in the restaurant. The bar was buzzy and the food was good. All the staff were very friendly. All in all, it was a great experience and if I go back to Copenhagen it will be my hotel of choice.
