Great hotel in a great location; rooms with harbour views are bestComment of W. Ian , United Kingdom the 2016-07-20
The Admiral is a great hotel, in a great location that we got at a great price through Prestigia.Comment of H. Stephen , United States the 2014-08-01
"A lot of money for an 1978 hotel"
The strange thing, when you see this hotel in pictures or if you arrive, you really thing this is great. The lobby gives you the impression of a modern hotel, but, then you get you key and go the floor where your room is. A long corridor, with hardly any space to manoeuvre if you come across either another guest of the housekeeping. But even more disapponting was the bathroom. We read the hotel was build in 1978, and it seems the bathrooms have not changed since. Small, with the shower (too low for me) in the bath, with a simple curtain and with mold between the tiling. And the hotel was not cheap at all.
"Really lovely hotel in a terrific location"
Situated in an atmospheric old warehouse on the waterfront, Copenhagen Admiral is a great place to base yourself whether you are travelling for business or pleasure. The rooms have a beautiful heritage feel as do the common areas. Service is friendly and accommodating. I have 6 nights here and I know already I would definitely return.
"A real let down!!"
I booked this hotel going by other reviews and thought I was getting a 4 star experience. However the room I felt was no more than on par with a Premier Inn. In fact you get a bigger and brighter bathroom with the Premier. So the bathroom was tiny , no window and dark and gloomy .The room it's self was tiny with two singles beds pushed together and two single duvets, it was like being back at home as a child . On a very good point I have to say the public area was very pleasant and the in the Salt was nice but very expensive.
We visited Copenhagen over my birthday weekend mid-October. Our first time visit was made very special thanks to the management at the Admiral Hotel. A double booking of a room on Friday evening was more than made up for by the care and attention we received from the management at the hotel, especially Christina the Day Manager. We could not have asked for more to compensate us having to stay at the hotel next door for one night. The hotel is an old warehouse in fabulous location, near to the beautiful Nyhavn and a lovely walk along the water to see the Little Mermaid! Perfect location for walking to everything in central Copenhagen - I would highly recommend you stay here - we will when we return!
"Great stay in a sympathetically converted warehouse"
It's a big hotel, but feels quiet intimate, the staff were really helpful and very kind and friendly. Its in an old dock side warehouse, tall and narrow, a really interesting building with massive beams. Our room was lovely - no view (because of scaffolding) and a street beyond but some rooms must have views over the harbour down towards the Little Mermaid; a 15 min stroll down the water side. Breakfast was excellent- great quality and variety. I will definitely return soon - I hope! The only thing I would ask for is a harder pillow to be available- the lovely feather pillows are just too soft for me. Thank you.
