"Cool hotel, but not too posh"
A very nice, clean hotel with good location. I did like the quit modern interior design. Shopping mall just few metres away and nice area with lots of nice restaurants (inner vesterbro). Room was quiet and tidy. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary so hotel could have remembered us somehow, but they did not -not that we were expecting it :) Friendly service in hotel bar and reasonable priced. Warmly recommend. Not too posh but cool.
Stayed in Dec 2016 Hotel is located about a 15 min walk from the central railway station. So slightly away from things, but that at least meant it was quiet (neighbourhood mainly seemed to be offices) and we didn’t mind the walk back into town every day. We originally had a standard room booked, which would have looked out at the motorway and railway tracks. Upon checking in we were offered an upgraded room since we were we early and the upgraded rooms were available first. Not the cheapest upgrade we’ve ever been offered, but worth it in the end for the much more attractive (and peaceful) river views out the window. Room was a decent size, clean and comfortable. Whole place probably a little too warm, even in Dec. Liked the styling of the hotel with its elevated walkways running above reception. Breakfast was an excellent spread served in the hotel restaurant which also had river views. Overall, pleased with the whole experience. Would probably use this hotel again if staying in Copenhagen, if the upgraded rooms were being offered at a reasonable price!
Great hotel and location to stay in the capital. 5 min walk to a metro stop and 2 mins to a shopping mall. There is also the famous meat market area only 7 mins walk away. Room was lovely and beds comfy. 2 small points were that the shower screen was watermarked and the air con, though set on '5', was heating the room. Breakfast was great and the staff were helpful, friendly and just wonderful :)
"Clean and modern, great location for meatpacking district restaurants"
If you don't need to be in the centre of the city, this is the hotel for you. 5 minutes walk to Dybblsbro station which is one stop from the Central Station where you can get the airport train. If I had known how close the hotel was to Dybblsbro I would not have taken the 300 DKK taxi from the airport. But I did arrive late at night, tired and cold, so the last thing I wanted to do was look for the hotel in the dark. If you do though, it is really easy. Go up the steps when you get off the train at D and walk up the steps. Look for a huge bright sign saying Cinemaxx and Imax which is part of the Fisketorvet Mall which incidentally is right next door. Head towards this sign like a glowing star on the narrow pavement and cross a few pedestrian crossings. Look left and you will see stairs which lead towards the hotel. 15 mins walk to the town hall, a little bit further to Nyhavn, the picture postcard part of Copenhagen which you always see with the colourful houses and boats. Meatpacking district is a mere 5- 7 minute stroll away just after the station, heading away from the hotel. The hotel itself is modern, wooden floors in the rooms and underfloor heated tiles in the bathroom. Reviewers who say the rooms are tiny have never been to Japan! For western standards, they are small and for a 4 star hotel, they are on the small side, 18 -20 square metres. Beds are of the 2 foot 6in variety not the larger 3ft single mattress. Americans may find this rather small. There are two pushed together. The soundproofing in the rooms is the best! Despite there being a major road outside I slept soundly and I am a light sleeper. Also despite wooden floors, I heard no footsteps above me and I am sure most guests do not remove their shoes at the door, like me. As is usual these days in 4 star hotels, you have to ask for the slippers and bathrobes, but they were delivered promptly with a smile. Breakfast was ample and the best thing was there was no huge rush to clear things up at exactly 10 or 10.30 when the advertised time for breakfast ended. Also, really comfortable chairs! I liked the hotel and its location because I can walk, but, if your legs are just painted on, or if you're not that mobile, this isn't the place for you. Needless to say, all staff, friendly, efficient and multilingual.
