Arrived at the hotel, staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful. The room was very good, clean, and modern. The only downside was the bed which was not at all firm. We ate regularly at the hotel in the evening and the food was very good, the restaurant staff were so helpful and always went out of their way if we had anything to ask about dining or Copenhagen, I can't praise them enough for service, help and information. Would recommend the hotel.
"Nice hotel, good base"
We stayed for two nights last weekend and had a lovely stay. the hotel is very modern and looks exactly like all of the pictures. The room was good, had everything we needed... The only downside is that the location is a good twenty minute walk away from the central station so it wasn't as convenient as I expected but apart from that perfect!
Myself and my boyfriend visited this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our trip - it was for New Years Eve (slightly delayed review but thought still worthwhile!). Rooms are really modern, spotlessly clean and the 'island' itself is brilliant. Staff were great. We were on the fourth floor and the view over the river was beautiful. We ate in the hotel once, the food was great and you got lots for your money. If you go to Copenhagen, visit Tivoli gardens which is around 15 minute walk away, it was absolutely fantastic and a great place to spend the festive occasion. Couldn't recommend the hotel and Copenhagen more - fantastic place!
"Modern, Clean, Good Breakfast, Next Door to a Mall, 5 Min Walk to the Metro. We Stayed Pre-Cruise"
PRE-CRUISE STAY IN COPENHAGEN We took a cruise out of Copenhagen in the summer of 2016, adding on a few days there beforehand. We booked and prepaid for the Copenhagen Island Hotel through a 3rd party web site and were very happy with our decision. It was one of the best values for money that we could find. MODERN, CLEAN, CONVENIENT LOCATION Having missed our flight connection, we arrived a day late at the hotel and the staff were kind enough to upgrade us to an executive suite with a balcony facing the water. The room was spacious enough with a bed for two, a small desk, a wardrobe, flat screen TV, tea and snacks, a balcony with chairs and table and a very clean bathroom with glass vanity. PROS: ~Polite and friendly staff that spoke excellent English ~Delicious breakfast that was included, in a large airy breakfast room -- meats, cheeses, cereals, juices, coffee, pastries, hot items, fruit, breads, etc. ~Complimentary water in the lobby (Jugs and cups) ~Easy 5 minute walk to the 'S' train Dybbolsbro metro station, over the bridge down the stairs ~One stop away from Central Station ~Approx 15-20 minute walk into the center of town (Central Station/Tivoli, etc.) ~Modern indoor mall next door ~Grocery store next door ~Great view of the bicycle track -- entertain yourself by watching the hordes of cyclists zip around! ~Nice views from the room (get a waterside room!) and breakfast room ~You can take the rail system to the hotel from the airport, however we took a taxi If you found this review helpful, please click the THANK button. CONS: ~The breakfast room was quite crowded in the height of summer, but this was minor. ~Some large tour groups staying at the hotel NOTE: We purchased a 'Copenhagen Card' that was good for 3 days and allowed us to use the metro and get into many attractions/museums, etc. for the price of the card. (We purchased it at the airport). It was well worth it. Please see my uploaded photos for more details. If you found this review helpful, please click the THANK button.
