"Mid week city break"
WE booked this long before any football draw was made so got it relatively cheap. Being ona budget teh hotel location ensured everything we needed was in walking distance adn it was nice to wander teh back streets and discover things. The room was smaller than we expected but over looked The tivoli gardens, which I'm sure is lovely if not fronted by building work! But we weren't there for the view. The bed was comfortable and a safe was available ( though we broke it oops!) Tea and coffee were availabe but as with all hotels there is never enough milk for more then one cup, but a quick trip to reception fixed that :) Breakfast was include din our room rate and it was full 'english' and continental, enough to keep you going till tea time. The library bar, though expensive, was a lovely place to relax for a night cap after wandering the city all day. We didn't eat in the restaurant so cannot comment on that.
"Stay somewhere else"
Currently staying in this hotel. Given room 103 which is a twin room no balcony. Booking clearly states a double room with a balcony. I feel a credit card chargeback coming on. Upon raising with reception they were dismissive and said they have no double rooms and balconies are extra cost. So why not give the customer the room they booked!' For the money try somewhere else, plenty of other hotels to choose from. Don't be conned like I was.
"Great location "
Situated opposite the trivoli gardens and close to all the shopping and tourist spots this hotel will tick the boxes . Nice cosy bar downstairs , friendly staff . Glass elevator , and warm cosy rooms Bang opposite the train station which has McDonald's Starbucks and lots of food shops
"Comfy and Kind"
The hotel is comfortable and has a lovely older world feel. The library bar is something to check out. Arriving in the room I immediately noticed that the room smelt of methane gas coming back up through the pipe works in the small bathroom but closing the door stopped it getting into the main room. Bed was comfy (if a little soft) and I closed the blinds to the window as I was in a room where the window was foot level to a walkway in the centre of the hotel (behind the scenes area). Breakfast was included and was nice. Crepes were tasty, eggs were a little dry and the bacon was super crispy. Hotel is very close and convenient to the rail way station and a short 10m walk from the main shopping area. Staff were kind and despite my BYOJET booking NOT being in the system (ie the booking I had made through BYOJET's Aunty Betty Agent had not been transferred to the hotel) they were still able to accommodate me and they quickly sorted out the voucher. I dread to think had it been peak season I may not have had a room. Check out was fast and easy. Internet access was strong and fast.
Came to visit our daughter who is studying in Copenhagen through DIS program. Hotel was just what I'd hoped and more! After extensively researching hotels in the city for one with a central location, consistent reviews of cleanliness and congenial staff, and coffee maker in-room ( a personal must-have!), I was confident that the Copenhagen Plaza would suit our needs. But what I couldn't appreciate until our stay is the unique charm and character of the Plaza - from the welcoming lobby to the cozy Library lounge to the bright and inviting breakfast room and of course the memorable elevator (yes, you WILL fancy it!). Breakfast was divine - scrambled eggs, sausages, fresh fruit, Danish smorrebrod with wonderful cheeses, vegetables, meats, and variety of fresh breads. We had breakfast here all three mornings. Had requested upper floor rooms (we had 2 twin rooms) facing Tivoli and got exactly that - rooms 405 and 505 with balconies, great views and quiet area. Hotel held our bags on last day so we could enjoy one more day in Cope before picking up bags and rolling right next door to Central Station to connect to CPH for 8pm flight - MOST convenient! Will return!!
