I did not eat any meals in the hotel. Great experience with my stay.Comment of C. Teresa , United States the 2015-02-02
"In The Middle of It All"
Staff was very attentive and helpful! Staying on the 7th floor, your view will be an amazing one of the square. The location of the hotel is in the center of everything; walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shopping. The bathroom was lovely! I would definitely be staying here again!
The best part of the hotel is the proximity to the Prudential Center, Copley Square and shops on Newbury. Other than that, I'm not sure why you would stay here. I walked in last night after a long day of conferences and the girl at the front desk didn't look up to greet me. I had to ask a few questions and she seemed irritated. This morning I went to Xhale for breakfast, it was the 3rd day in a row that I had been in. Day 1 I ordered egg whites, bacon and coffee -$16. Day 2 I order egg whites, bacon and coffee - $16. Day 3 I order egg whites, bacon and coffee - $20. They decided to charge me for a full breakfast but never offered me the other items that came with it. The $4 isn't the end of the world, but I won't be returning. Without a decent restaurant, it really makes the stay at Copley Square Hotel sub par.
"Good Location, Underwhelmed and Pricey Hotel"
I opted to stay here and give it a whirl as it is stated to be a 4 diamond hotel. I have worked in the hospitality industry before at a hotel that has won multiple awards. I was expecting grand things and let down. The Bad: The price for the size, and quality of room was much too high. The room was hard to regulate the temperature, the headboard was ripped in places, the elevator numbers were written poorly in permanent marker, the caulking was in poor condition in the bathroom, the wallpaper was also peeling next to the tub, the heater in the bathroom was set to max when I arrived and could not keep it warm as well as it looked old and rusty in a way that was not expected for the price of the room. They had very odd charges on the bill, as well as charged breakfast based on the in room dining selection card, the bill should have been around $50-60 for breakfast based on the card prices which in itself is expensive, then the bill came close to $90 which is absurd, Luckily I had opted for a room package which included breakfast up to $50 which when I spoke to the desk they were friendly and adjusted it and included the breakfast free; the breakfast though was lacking, it was barely warm, the eggs were overcooked as far as eggs Benedict go and I would not say anything ordered was justifiable for the price charged. Also I was charged for dinner, which after going to Top of the Hub and spending close to the price of the room for dinner, I most certainly did not order dinner at the hotel. The desk also adjusted this which I was pleased with. The good: The staff was friendly and courteous and quite helpful overall. The location is great and within reach of many local landmarks where you might want to visit or within reach of public transportation. Again to conclude, I think it is overpriced, and definitely in need of some TLC to bring it to a standard to be a 4 diamond property. I would find greater value staying at a Marriott for a much better price and I find that the rooms are larger and in better condition. The staff certainly are friendly enough and it does not reflect them in anyway as I can only assume management needs to take a deeper look into the room conditions and consider the costs of amenities in the hotel especially the breakfast menu and it's quality.
"Very very nice staff! Great location!"
Your staff is very helpful; very positive; and very efficient. The room was clean, comfortable, upbeat, and quiet. I was very grateful that everything I needed was easily provided -- including late checkout because of my business meetings and accommodating my dog who travels with me, Thank you!
"Amazed and Surprised !"
I was expecting a room that was much smaller for the deal I found. I figured on night wouldn't be that rough. The room exceeding every expectation and I am sure if I find myself in the area again, I would definitely book a room here! The front desk service was also amazing, I forgot my toothpaste and they had someone bring some to my room at 5AM( no charge). We checked out early the following day but asked if we could leave out luggage since it would be difficult to carry them around the city and the front desk was more than willing. The front desk workers ( 3 different men during our stay) were extremely friendly and very helpful in giving suggestions for places to eat in the neighborhood.
