"Beware Breakfast Charges"
Booked a room for one night at this hotel and traveled with another couple. When we booked the room both of us hadn't add breakfast. Prior to arriving I booked breakfast in advance. Arrived on the day and was charged £17.98 for 2 breakfasts. Nothing to over the top about that. However the couple we traveled with booked on the day and were charged £6 less. Charging less for walk up booking is quite laughable. I did query this and could not get a satisfactory answer. I even emailed again and over a week later still no response. The email was straight to the point and ended by saying I wouldn't book with the company (Millenium Hotels) again. I will say that the room was very nice and the king size bed very comfy. Breakfast was good as well, buffet style.... So I would suggest booking breakfast on the day, although the price may depend on occupancy at the time, that choice is yours. Dave
Excellent value hotel. The rooms are lovely and very spacious , excellent bathroom and hotel has feee parking ( just very busy if Sheffield united are playing at home ) friendly staff and easy check in bar prices are quite expensive but probably what you'd expect from a city type hotel
"Frills but little substance"
A very average hotel that aspires to be greater. I've stayed here a couple of times now. The location is excellent (even on match days), the staff are pleasant, but the accommodation not quite as good as you would expect. Narrow duvets on twin beds is not cosy in Sheffield in winter! A shower that runs hot and cold (mostly cold) didn't warm me up either. The hairdryer was dirty with hairs and grease so not great to use. Yet I'd been left a (crumpled) dressing gown and slippers as if this would somehow make the room feel up market. Breakfast was disappointing too: sweetened, concentrated fruit juice, lukewarm coffee ...
Stayed one night on November 29th for the Rod Stewart concert at Sheffield Arena. Staff very friendly. Rooms are amazing with very comfortable king size beds. Bath & shower with plenty of piping hot water. Paid extra for breakfast which is buffet so you can eat as much as you like. Drinks at the bar are pricey, but that is usual for hotels.
stayed here for a function. the hotel is clean and modern. we were allowed a late check out at a time of our choice. the staff were friendly and welcoming. we didn't have food here but we did in the function room which was lovely. I would return here with no hesitation
