"Lion King Visit"
Convenient hotel from underground station, efficient staff. Warm room, comfy twin beds. Lovely breakfast. Ticked all of the boxes. Staff pleasant and accommodating. Checked in and left our bags so that we could go round London
I stayed here for one night with my partner, sister and brother in law and my parents. My father regularly uses this hotel for work which was the reason we chose it. Check in was slightly annoying as they took approx 20 minutes to serve us by which point there was a queue of about 8 other people behind me. Staff were very polite but guests checking in were asking many questions when the concierge was just standing there so common sense would have been to signpost the guest to the concierge! Anyway, rooms are lovely. We were on the 6th and 4th floor and we were extremely pleased with the rooms and amenities. The hotel is very close to the high street and only a 2 minute walk to the tube. There are a few lovely pubs nearby aswell. Breakfast was lovely (included in the price of the room when we booked) and there was hot and cold varieties. There is car parking on site which is £25 per 24 hours also. Overall it was a fantastic stay and we 100% will be returning.
I stayed here with my daughter recently. Hotel is very big and impersonal. Front desk staff could be a lot more welcoming and efficient, takes a while to check in. Lack of staff training all round I would say, especially the doorman - never smiled or greeted once in our 3 day visit. Some staff are very nice and others unpleasant, no cohesion. On the other hand, the Holiday Inn doorman next door always greeted us when we walked past! I found this hotel impersonal and lacking in decent maintenance of rooms etc. Breakfast very crowded and poor quality. Rooms tired, not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel. I wouldn't recommend unfortunately,
This hotel is great value for money and an ideal location for the underground and shopping. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms have everything you need including a small fridge. All the amenities were excellent and clean throughout except for a lone pretzel on the floor near the bed that we dissent take in ourselves. Housekeeping take note. The breakfast here is delicious with everything you could think of and more. I would stay here again.
