"Great infrastructure huge area for improvement "
Location is perfect, The staff are very kind and helpful but there is a huge area for improvement, the late evening guy promised me to change the room in the morning and the morning one after integration that lasted a while he denied the previous promise. Hygiene can be improved
Stayed here a couple of nights, than another night when our flight cancelled. Both rooms were comfortable, large, and functional. I was a little surprised that the room I received was better than the one I paid over $300 a night. Room I paid for had a queen bed that was not great. Airline room had king bed was much more comfortable. You also want to confirm the rate you were quoted vs, the one charged. Mine were not the same. All in all it's very comfortable with lots of dining opportunities. The fact that Sudan doesn't accept credit cards is not the hotels fault. Don't worry about the view from the room, because of the strange construction the indows are so filthy on the outside you can't see out of them.
It is the best hotel in khartoum Very very very friendly people and wonderful staff They are very helpful , cheerful and cooperative The rooms are very capacious well furnitured and clean rooms I'm really enjoying my stay there and apsolutely it won't be the last stay in this wonderful hotel Very very very good health club and clean swimming pool Thank you all for making my stay there memoriable Thank you
The best place to stay when on business. Excellent rooms and service with nice views on the city and the river. The Asian restaurant at the top floor "rickshaw" is highly recommended. You can't stay there without trying it!
"Nice hotel, even nicer staff, but beware the cowboy hairdressers"
Still a good hotel, and the staff embody so many good things about Sudan. But some aspects have slipped (1) breakfast service needs managing - the website says it starts at 0600 but in reality it's not in full action until after 0700. For $190 a night, failing to get the coffee trolley fired up until after 0720 is poor. (2) obviously there's a problem getting branded toiletries into the country - but for $190 a night most guests would not expect to have to go to the shops to buy shower gel. (3) The haircutting franchise next to the gym was very unimpressive - business travellers need receipts but I was told that by order on the mudir, foreign customers "ARE NOT ALLOWED" a copy of a receipt or bill - only Sudanese customers can have paperwork! This is absolute nonsense! I strongly suspect that prices are inflated for foreign guests, and the lack of paperwork is a way of keeping this inflation below the radar. Not good enough. I was advised to email the night manager to query this, but no reply arrived. Please hold these clowns to account - no-one wishes to be treated as a second class guest. I take no pleasure in being critical, but management need to know what's going on. .
