"This is an excellent hotel"
I stayed here for the 2nd time during my recent visit to Prague. Very convenient place, exceptionally friendly staff and caring too. Great quality of rooms, Choice of restaurants, connected to a metro line makes t easy to travel to any part of the city, overall its a great hotel and a great place.
"Great hotel, even better location"
My sister and I stayed for a week because she had a conference across the street from the hotel. So I mostly traveled alone. The location is great!! And for me, location is VERY important. The subway station "Vysehrad" is only few steps from the hotel and it's only two stops away from "Museum" (where most of the tourist attractions are). If you're feeling too lazy to go to the city center, the place around the hotel itself is a great location. Across the hotel you can walk around 5-10 minutes to another castle and historical town. It's really a pleasant walk especially in the afternoon. The hotel also able to give you many informations about additional tourist activity. All the staffs are super nice and helpful. Definitely recommend this hotel, you won't regret it.
"Excellence in everything"
We must have stayed in a different hotel to some of the reviews we have read. Not quite sure what some people expect, but as we own an accommodation business in Australia we feel we are well qualified to post this review. We booked an executive room for 3 nights, when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite. Michaela, Teresa, Denisa and Luigi are sensational customer service people and a credit to the hotel chain. The executive lounge with it's views and selection of food and wine is absolutely first class. If you can afford it pay the little bit extra and book an executive room. We have stayed in numerous hotels throughout the world but none of them have ever provided the service and attention we received at this hotel. At the suggestion of Luigi we travelled and stayed at another Corinthia hotel which, was very good, but did not provide the fantastic level of warmth and service we received in Prague. We were also lucky enough to have made our booking in Prague when the "Invasion of the Lobster" evening occurred. What a great night. As we said earlier in this review, based on our experience at this hotel, it is simply excellent. Michaela, Teresa, Denisa and Luigi you are an employers dream in the hospitality industry. We are sure you are appreciated for your customer skills. Thank you, a great 3 days for us.
"Not the best option in Prague"
We stayed here on a family vacation in November 2014. The location is ugly, right next to the highway, but the hotel, with its 26 stories, does offer nice views. The attached metro station makes an otherwise poor location relatively convenient. The hotel is old (formerly the Forum Hotel) but renovated. Unfortunately, the renovations are also aging. The shower had some mildew, the mattresses were old with dimples and need replacing. The air conditioning was loud and difficult to operate. The room windows only open a few inches, but you don't want to open them anyway, because the adjacent highway is so loud. The wifi works well throughout the hotel. The rooms don't have enough plugs. I had to unplug one of the lamps to charge my phone. The breakfast was always crowded, thanks in large part to the hotel's agreement with Viking Tours (which has floors 4-8 reserved for their use). Stay away from the sushi, which was possibly the worst I have ever had. Mushy and unedible. The biggest disappointment was the top floor pool, which costs 350 crowns ($16) per person to use. The pool water was cold (25C) and cloudy and simply not worth the money. When we returned to our rooms after swimming, there were orange juice and cupcakes waiting for us, along with a thank you letter for visiting the pool. It was a nice touch, but not enough. Overall, we felt like numbers instead of cherished guests.
"5 stars Hotel but with a little bit disappointment"
We want to book Corinthia Hotel since long time for our family holiday and somehow fortunately there's voucher sell in Internet. It costs '165 for 2 nights (incl. breakfast) and our 2 children sleep & breakfast for free. We also got free crib & extra bed. A little disappointment come because the room is "old fashioned". The pictures from their homepage is different with the room that we got. The bedsheets are dirty with stains blood / wine. We cant complain it because we think with the price we pay maybe ok, but not when we must pay full (without Voucher). We got room in 16th floor with city view. Maybe thats why there's voucher sell in Internet for cheaper price for the "old fashioned" room and old dirty bedsheets. Hotel's location is perfect, because easy to reach with Metro, only 3 stations from the main train station and to go to downtown only took 2 stations. We also enjoy the Apollo spa & wellness centre which already include in our price, but I see many guests there must pay extra if they want access the swimming pool. WLAN is fast and breakfast have a lot of choice. For example they offer Sushi and porridge too ! Concierge and reseptionist team are helpful and kind, our children got extra gifts/presents from them. But there is one woman there from the Dream Trip company who offer travel & trip around the Prague, she is not sympathy at all. We want to read the brochure, book with them, but decide not to go with Dream Trip because she didnt allowed us to take & read the brochure first ! But we are happy because the kind Concierge from Corinthia Hotel help us more and give another tips for the Prague sightseeing. We enjoy our holiday in Prague, would love to book this Hotel again but maybe with the remarks : we want another new style room like what we see in their homepage.
