"Should be better"
For the standard of hotel it claims to be it needs to improve. We had either a scolding hot or ice cold shower with no in between temps so resorted to having baths in the worlds smallest tub. Room service food was shockingly bad, they even fed us stale chewy nachos! We had dirty cups with tea making facility and the staff were not very friendly. I have stayed in many hotels and never felt the need to write a review but I was disappointed with this stay
"Best value Five Star Hotel in Prague"
I am in Prague monthly and use this hotel mostly and it never fails to satisfy. Sitting on top of Vysehrad metro station you can be almost anywhere in Prague in minutes. The view from the upper floor bedrooms is unrivalled. So also is the swimming pool and leisure facilities. I highly recommend it and I certainly will keep using it. Dr. Michael Grimes
"High quality, excellent service"
Although this high quality hotel is not central, it is only two stops on the nearby Metro. Rooms are well equipped and very clean, staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is good. There are excellent views in any direction, so the higher the bedroom the better.
I was attending a conference and it is perfect location for the conference center. My Mother also came along to see the sights. She is 76 and found it very easy to get around. Only 2 stops away from the city centre and only 1 stop and the number 22 tram, gets you to the Bridge and Palace. No taxis needed. (Although the Hotel taxis are a fantastic idea and good value for money) The room was vell kitted out and beds and pillows amazing. (Best sleep ever). David at the Concierge was very helpful. Especially to my mum, helping her every step of the way, to make sure she enjoyed her stay. I have on the last day a Pedicure. It was the best ive ever had. Down points - My mum couldn't use the swimming pool as it only had upright steps and she cant climb out because of her hips. The safe in the room, must have been made for someone 7ft tall!! I could only just reach, but had to stand on a chair to make sure I had got everything when i left the room. In the morning, you had to wait a long time to get the lift down. Difficult if your working, and need to get somewhere. (I saw some people walk down the stairs) My Mum wanted her hair done and couldn't get a reservation. They said 3 days. So if this is what you need, #i suggest you book in advance, or as soon as you arrive. An excellent choice and would definitely go back. What a beautiful city.
"Ok, after all"
The close proximity to the nearby conference center was the reason I chose the Corinthia for a week long stay in Prague. My rate included breakfast and access to the business lounge, as well as free access to the pool. The hotel is somewhat dated, and, as others have said, does not deserve the many stars it claims. The hotel caters for tours as well, and when it does, the breakfast area gets really crowded. I found the breakfast somewhat disappointing - it's all there, lots of choices, but I found myself eating less and less each morning, because the taste just wasn't there. I think it's because of the ingredients - the bread is of the industrial type, for instance. I had dinner on one night and found it quite enjoyable, so they certainly know how to cook. Although I give the hotel an "average" rating, I would return if I got a decent rate. I like the fact that the window can be opened, my wife loved the pool area, the location is good because of the metro station just in front of the hotel, and the overall experience was comfortable. During my stay, the proximity to the conference center was a huge advantage.
