"Excellent hotel in a great location!"
Excellent location - real heart of Budapest. The hotel is very well maintained, clean and well designed. The staff us amazing - helpful, kind and always willing to assist. The room was large, comfortable and very clean. Me and my wife enjoyed a lot staying in Cosmo.
"Comfort and warmth"
Excellent hotel with everything you need. Would happily stay again! The reception staff were so helpful and the housekeeping made such a good job of the rooms! Can't recommend this hotel enough!! And the price was a bargain!!
"I will return for sure!"
Excellent is the word to describe it! The position is central, on the main shopping street, 2 minutes walking from the metro station and the biggest indoor market. Everything is very clean, the room is cosy and the personnel is incredibly helpful and kind. The breakfast is very good. They also have a restaurant downstairs which is good. They are open to call you a taxi. We had a very early check out and in order not to lose breakfast they give you like a small box with 2 sandwiches, fruit and water. I was very pleased about this choice and i am going to return.
"Good location, nice Hotel"
We came to Budapest from Prague where we had a great stay and was expecting the same in Budapest as we paid almost the same price here. This is a small hotel in a very good location in Pest. Just outside is the touristy area with lot of shops, eateries etc.Hotel is also a 2 minute walk from both the metro and tram station no 2, which is one of the most scenic trams in Europe. The breakfast didn't have too many options. Another good thing about the hotel is that the metro goes directly to the main railway station ( 4 stops ) . so it is extremely convenient for people going and coming to Budapest by train. All in all, a good stay in Cosmo city Hotel.
"NICE HOTEL BAD RESTAURANT AND SERVICE!"
We stopped here for 3 nights at the end of January for my partners birthday My first impressions were great. It was my partners birthday and the recepetion staff had organised a small bottle of champagne for the room and they were extremely helpful when we asked for directions and the best places to visit. However, breakfast was a nightmare! On the first morning we went down for breakfast at 9.35am. It was busy so we had to sit on a dirty table. A young girl with short brown hair cleared the table but didnt wipe it or give us any fresh cutlery. I went to bar and asked a different girl (with long brown hair tied back and wearing glasses) if she could get me some cutlery. She sighed, pointed to a tray and walked off so I helped myself. We then went to get our breakfast and noticed there was no egg, granola, sausage or bread left and no cups to make a hot drink. We asked if they were bringing more food and they went and fetched some more egg. At 10am I went to the girl with glasses and asked where the rest of the food was and she was extremely rude and said it was 10am and breakfast was finished. I told her we had been waiting for 25 minutes and she just said breakfast was over and nothing more was coming out before turning her back on me and storming off. I was taken back by her appalling attitude! We went out and paid for breakfast elsewhere. The next morning was less busy. The tables were clean and there seemed to be enough food but the electricity kept tripping so we could not use the toaster etc and we were sat in the dark. The final morning we decided not to bother and went to get breakfast at a nice cafe round the corner. We didnt use the restaurant at night because the service was so bad in the mornings which I assume other people agreed with as it wasnt busy any night we were there I have emailed the hotel twice about my experience since I have been back and I have not had a response. Such a shame.
