"Run away!! Não recomendo!"
We came to spend 4 nights and to use the "all inclusive" deals, which basically it's a scam. The hotel is comprised of 4 previously independent hotels now called Alas or wings. You can only eat out of your assigned restaurant( yes, ONE) and have drinks at the pools around the properties. Here are the issues: -the food is of poor quality; some meats are visibly dry and chewy, the seafood isn't that fresh; it sits out on a buffet for hours. -because of the above, my husband got sick after the first day. -there are ants inside the bedrooms and mold and decay everywhere; -the costumer service is terrible and NOBODY speaks English!! - the drinks and liquor are of very low quality and they only had one white and one red wine and they were awful . - the beach is very rocky and unsafe for swimming -the nightlife is poor and you have to pay for drinks at the bar located at the village - we paid a lot overall for this place. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECCOMEND.
"Great food, super friendly staff, kids loved it."
I was there for a work conference, and brought the hubs and kids (4 and 1). We stayed at Ala Terra. Wifi was a mess, so I'd never book a conference there, but for the fam, they loved it. Great northeast regional food, really fresh and well prepared. Nice kids club with plenty to do for the babes. I only got some early am dips in the pool since I had work, but they had life vest for kids and a shallow baby pool. Only negative on the room was the crib, looked like it could be dismantled from a lever inside the crib (where baby is...)
"Sauipe Resorts ... Great Vacation Experience!"
We have stayed again at this Brazilian resort which provided us great pleasures and memorable moments. We always go back to Sauipe Resorts every time we travel to Bahia, Brazil. Even so we stayed at peak season, we had quiet and enjoyable moments at Ala Mar Resort. Which was closer to Premium Resort and away from general crowd. We love it!
"Cannot complain much"
I would give a regular but honestly it was better than average. PROS: nice location, pools and beach (even being rocky), the gym was very good (despite a bit far from the bedrooms). CONS: service can be VERY slow and not deliver what you NEED and as can be seen in nearly all comments here: food is just OK, nothing really special.
"Exceeded my expectations "
After reading other reviews, my bar was extremely low but overall I was pleased with my stay in the al la terra. Pros: relatively well kept property, food was enjoyable and regional Cons: rooms can be noisy due to hallway noise; stingy on refilling menu options; no iron only laundry service; roughly 45-60 mins from airport; away from major city
