We stayed at your hotel 10 days ago thinking that for sure we will return to realize after already being home that 35000 forints were taken from our bank account by your hotel without even letting us know. Of course, we payed for our stay at the check out and for that amount got a receipt as it's supposed to be. But for the other amount nobody informed us, but even worse, told us they need to see our card just for a case of emergency. After 3 phone calls assuring us the money will be returned the next morning it still hasn't happened to this day. We will surely warn about this everybody we know and never come back to stay there again!
"Perfect Location But Worst Brerakfast"
I suggest this hotel for those who want to be at the center of the city. It's right beside a mall with a grocery on the basement. It's right across McDonald's where you can opt to buy your breakfast. If you're up for a long walk, it is walking distance to shopping strips, christmas markets and to the bridge that separates Buda and Pest. Location is really at the city center. They don't have wi-fi in their rooms, only in the lobby.
"A Great Stay!"
We checked in to this lovely hotel with our Trafalgar Tour group for 4 days/ 3 nights over the New Year period. Frstly, thank you for giving me a lovely room overlooking the main street and McDonald's! Heating in the room: It can get quite hot in the room after a while. Thankfully, I could open the window slightly to cool down the room. This was during winter where the temperatures outside was about -5 degrees Celcius! Breakfast: Good spread. The team manning the restaurant during breakfast were very polite, efficient (they cleared the tables very quickly and efficiently!) and spoke excellent English! Reception Desk: Lovely team. Whatever I needed, including helping me send postcards back home, asking for directions around the city, asking them where I could buy the Hungarian Prepaid Data SIM card, they delivered. Kudos to the team! The hotel lobby is kinda small but cosy. This hotel is located just next door to the Europeam Shopping Mall, ATM machines (in case you need to withdraw money from your bank account back home), numerous eateries, cafes and restaurants including McDonald's (just across the street). And for the smartphone addicts like me, there is a T-Mobile shop at Europeam Shopping Mall where you can buy your prepaid Data SIM card! Wifi at this hotel is free! Thank you for a great stay, Courtyard Budapest City Center. Happy New Year!
"Courtyard Budapest City Center"
This is two star hotel. Good for emergency only if you can,t find any hotel in Budapest . Room was cleaned every two to three days. Breakfast very bad and very expensive. What every you eat or drink be prepared that will cost you fortune. Location is good but not great. Beside few good employee Management was not friendly. Sorry I can,t recommend.
The room is good and the staff are good too. However the breakfast is just too bad...they have the same food everyday...the egg and sausages do not taste good at all...coffee is terrible...I would say it is the worst ever...:(
