"Great place to stay"
We have just returned from a 6 day stay in New Orleans. We stayed at the Courtyard by Mariott on Iberville for the full duration. What struck me first is how close we were to all of the main streets in the French Quarter. Everything that we needed was within walking distance. When we arrived, we were easily checked in at the beautiful (and very pleasant smelling) reception area. We had requested a room on the upper level and that request was satisfied. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and accommodating. We had an early check in and immediately went up to our room to unpack and freshen up. Like most of the rooms, ours had a sitting area separated by a gliding doorway that lead to a bathroom area and also the bedroom area. These were key to our great stay in our room as my husband and I sometimes are not on the same sleep schedule. Everything was exceptionally clean and in excellent condition. Each day the cleaning service came in to maintain the cleanliness. The only issue we had is that the sitting room tv didn't work when we arrived. However after a brief request at the front desk, it was immediately rectified. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay that is close to the action but far enough away to get peace when needed.
We were very satisfied with our stay here. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The location to New Orleans , Bourbon street where all the action is. We enjoyed a lot of good live music here. We also hired a terrific guide Elizabeth through Free tours by foot.
"Nice downtown location!"
First visit to this property. Was in town for meeting at the Ritz which is attached so super convienent. I had a nice suite on this trip. The rooms are updated and modern. It is a very short walk to bourbon Street and plenty of places to eat nearby. Surprisingly this property does not have a kitchen so your food options are limited so just means you will be eating out. While I was there they had a water line leak and had blowers going 24/7 on the floor. Never heard them in the room though.
"Good location for restaurants, shopping and Bourbon Street"
The hotel is attached to the Ritz Carlton and you can walk through the Ritz to get to Canal Street which is a main thoroughfare. The Marriott is what you would expect and is kept up well. Be aware though the part of Iberville it is on is somewhat sketchy at night. Travel in a group.
"Everything within walking distance"
I booked a double-king suite for three adults. The rooms were spacious and clean, which is what we needed. I checked-in on my mobile app, so it made it even easier to get my room key. We were fortunate enough to be on the 8th floor with a view of the street instead of the interior courtyard, and we couldn't hear any street noise. The beds were comfortable and soothing after walking so many miles around the French Quarter. The rooms have a mini-fridge and coffee maker, but the communal microwave is down the hall. The location of the hotel was perfect and made walking to Bourbon Street easy as it was only one block away. There was another Marriott property that I looked into, but it was on the other side of Canal Street. I'm glad I stayed at this hotel and I would gladly book again in the future.
